[Bug 326516] [NEW] After login $HOME/.dmrc permission error window appears
Public bug reported: After login I have this message: User's $HOME/.dmrc file is being ignored. This prevents the default sessin and language from being saved. [Bug 317819] Re: Evolution shows false unread messages in folder
My pleasure. I was using POP3, and I can not test, what you advised any more. But I remember that the false number was equal to the fresh downloaded and by filter trashed mails' number. So this number has always changed, when I recieved 34 mails, which have been moved to the trash by the filter, the false number was 34. Next time when only 7 mails hit the filter, 7 was the number. [Bug 314831] [NEW] Network manager unable to save several settings
Public bug reported: This bug is partly a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284298 A friend of me just changed to Ubuntu. Her Windows freezed and then she started to use the secondary OS which was installed on her computer (by me). Ibex 8.10. Her DHCP settings aren't automatic, she has to set it manually. (I described her how and it was succesful.) But the changes weren't saved, next time she had to enter the numbers again. I advised her the workaround described in the link on the top. My problem is that I cannot switch off the wireless network: when I restart the computer it will be activated again. I remember it worked fine in 7.10, 8.04. (The current network manager version is 0.7.0.) I use mobile HSDPA network. I always have to enter the keyring password. Anyway does somebody know how this keyring-thing works? I don't want to enter the password every time. In evolution there was a time when without asking the default keyring password it has been worked fine, but now it also asks for the pass. The very last bug report for today about nm is that another friend of me wanted to start using Ubuntu. I installed it. She is using HSDPA mobile internet in Hungary, T-Mobile network, and Web'n'walk USB stick. But this stick is not recognised by the system. Here is a not-very- international discussion about this problem: http://ubuntu.hu/forum/hardverek/t-mobile-webnwalk-stick-t-mobil- internet-710-re-hogyan But I didn't have the time to solve it, so she still uses Vista. [Bug 292594] Re: the user interface is not displayed while it seems to be downloading
Where shall I comment? Here or at gnome.org? I'm pretty sure, the problem is about indexing huge mailboxes. Renaming ~/.evolution solves the problem: GUI appears as normal. Yes, it is indexer bug. After starting, two file will be modified: Inbox.ibex.index Inbox.ibex.index.data Removing them won't solve the problem. Renaming Inbox solves the problem: appwindow appears. At first run the program asked if I want to upgrade to the new indexer (or there were a dialog box of the new indexer), and it started indexing. OK, i opened it there too. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=559268 UPDATE: It is not a POP-problem, I switched off the POP feature in my mail-system on the web. Firefox 3 AND Evolution AND Pidgin starts offline. No, Pidgin is looking for a connection. What I have to do is to disconnect and connect again (Pidgin). At Firefox (and Evolution) the File - uncheck Work offline solves the problem. Firefox 2 did not have this problem. I use HSDPA USB modem. When connected via LAN, no problem, everything is online. [Bug 237428] [NEW] Default PDF-wiever cannot search after copying text
Public bug reported: I recently downloaded a PDF file and opened it with the default PDF- wiever. (I don't know its name.) [Bug 228162] [NEW] Totem freezed my computer so that I had to remove the battery
Public bug reported: I tried to play a DRM encrypted WMA music file with Totem Media Player and it freezed the computer. The keyboard didn't work only the mouse. I couldn't even change to terminal with Ctrl-Alt-F1. Then I pushed the power button first shortly (it is set up to turn off the comuter) and then long to turn off radically.
