It has been noted on the mailing list of ubuntu-art that wallpapers
shouldn't be created for the largest possible screen resolution
partially because it means more rendering time; the wallpaper is large
and usually has to be downscaled for proper usage. Therefore, the

The Ubuntu LegacyHuman controls are visually broken since I upgraded to

Same problem with HP5370C scanner.
When starting a scan in Xsane, the entire X session crashes. There seems to be
no relation with the scan settings.
The scanner is prepared for scan, then at the moment the scan would start (and
data transfer would start, I guess) it's over.

Since updating from Intrepid to Jaunty I have also experienced crackling noise
every few seconds (not regurally) when using other applications while playing
music. I am using a stock jaunty PulseAudio with stock settings.

I had a problem similar to this when I was trying to debug Firefox on Gentoo,
and while searching for a solution I came across this bug report.
Rebuilding glibc and gdb fixed it for me. So I think It's caused by updating
the kernel without rebuilding glibc/gdb against the new kernel.

drops from ~50mbit to ~3mbit for a second or two, then goes back up. No
dropped packets or anything reported. Tested with iperf. Wired

I'd like to second (third, fourth, nth) the importance issue. It's
currently on the wishlist, but it seems that this bug is potentially
harmful to hardware. This should be considered high or critical
unless we find definitive proof that it isn't very dangerous at all.

until I looked better. I thoughed gddrescue was a gnome utility for
ddrescue, because of the name. Guess standard names makes you lazy. ;-)

I have this too. The window title font is slightly larger than it should
be. I actually thought this was a feature! To be honest, I like it; the
window title is important on-screen information, so it made sense to me
that it would be a little bigger.

Hi, I just got my girlfriend over to the good side. So I burned cd with
ubuntu 8.04 hardy haron and the wireless network doesn´t work :/. The
computer has a pcmcia card sitecom WL-140 too. I'll send the other
