[Bug 267611] Re: [intrepid] cannot see touchpad tab in mouse configuration
I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 and I clean-installed Beta 1 this morning. I've downloaded all the latest updates. My touchpad works fine for the most part (vertical scrolling but no horizontal, tap-to-click works), however I have no entries at all for the touchpad in my xorg.conf nor do I see the Touchpad tab in my Mouse control panel. I'm using Intrepid kernel 2.6.27-4-generic 64-bit and Gnome 2.24.0. In Hardy 64-bit I had both an entry in xorg.conf and a Touchpad tab. These have disappeared in Intrepid. I have run dpkg-reconfigure and nothing changed. -- [intrepid] cannot see touchpad tab in mouse configuration https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Dirk's instructions worked for a couple of days, but the BADSIG error showed up again this morning. -- GPG error with apt-get (BADSIG 40976EAF437D05B5) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/24061 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 24061] Re: GPG error with apt-get (BADSIG 40976EAF437D05B5)
I have no idea what Dirk's instructions did, but I no longer see the error. I'll post back if it shows up again.
I am also still receiving this error after trying the fix by DogFoodTaster. W: GPG error: http://archive.ubuntu.com hardy-updates Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 40976EAF437D05B5 Ubuntu Archive Automatic Signing Key [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have been steadily receiving this error for several days now. I have tried changing mirrors (I'm currently pointed at the main Ubuntu mirror). I've tried removing and re-adding the keys. Every time the default key above is reported as invalid. [Bug 217546] Re: Menu is displaying in wrong locale
I can also confirm precisely the same problem. File, Edit, Help, etc show up as Fichier, Edition, Aide. Menu options under the Fichier (File) menu are also in the wrong language. I get Nouveau jeu rather than New Game. English is my locale. I just updated everything on Hardy this morning and installed Gweled not half an hour ago. [Bug 203395] Re: hardward testing for laptop freezes in hardy heron at mouse test
Confirmed on Dell Inspiron 1520, with an Nvidia card. CPU usage according to System Monitor is through the roof while the program is frozen. -- hardward testing for laptop freezes in hardy heron at mouse test https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203395 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 203395] Re: hardward testing for laptop freezes in hardy heron at mouse test
Update on my above statement. CPU usage continued to be at 100% after killing Hardware Tester. It stayed that way until I rebooted, despite no obvious processes still running. Upon reboot I ran it again and the program ran through all its tests and finished normally. Small detail that may or may not be relevant: the first time I ran it I wasn't asked about my network hardware. The second time I was, and that was the time it continued on to the end. -- hardward testing for laptop freezes in hardy heron at mouse test https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203395 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
