Same problem here with hardy. I also start skype with alltray. Besides, if I
start thunderbird with alltray (alltray -na thunderbird), thunderbird opens but
won't minimize, it starts with open window.

burning is done. But the DVD is not finished correctly. When I reinsert

above mentioned bugfixes until I re-installed/-compiled alsa-driver-
linuxant and the hsfmodem-driver. So, the problem is not the kernel but
alsa-driver-linuxant! Sorry for this.

2.6.28-13-generic is the alsa-driver 1.0.20, while the older kernel still uses
an older alsa-version, which as far as I know didn't break the usb-devices. So
maybe the developers of alsa have to work together with those colleagues

now - there everything used to work fine. I hope someone looks into this

Yes, same problem here. Did a fresh lucid install. The first days opening pdfs
worked. Now it doesn't. And, by the way, there is the same problem with
Thunderbird 3. It must be something with the most recent mozilla updates. Or
the newest kernel (2.6.32-22-generic on AMD64). Or maybe an addon.
