[Bug 1781023] [NEW] Fan noise

2018-07-10 Thread Aethralis
Public bug reported:

After recent kernel update my laptop (Thinkpad T470s) fan is always on
max speed. It sometimes happens right after reboot and sometimes after
first suspend. I have now after the problem occurred installed thinkfan
and when I issue sudo /etc/init.d/thinkfan start then the fan speed goes
back to normal (i.e. dependent on temperature).

I should also mention that this makes the split view of nautilus

possibility that I found is to resize the split with the handle in the
breadcrumbs area. And even this handle there is so thin that it is very
difficult to catch.

[Bug 945189] [NEW] Unable to change shell from lightdm

Public bug reported:

I upgraded to Precise and right now I'm unable to change from LightDM to

change (tried Unity 2d, Unity 3d etc). Guest session starts with Unity
all right but my user is somehow fixed to Gnome Shell.

[Bug 509357] [NEW] Software Center ignores GTK style breadcrumb buttons

2010-01-18 Thread Aethralis
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: software-center

I find the breadcrumb buttons for software center nice, but they don't
conform in my opinion to the overall style of gtk buttons. As far as I
understand ubuntu strives for consistent visual experience. This clearly
deviates from stated goal. Attached screenshot to demonstrate the
problem (compare the highlighted buttons).

[Bug 361217] Re: Totem displays MicroDVD subtitles incorrectly

2009-04-14 Thread Aethralis
I made a test file to suit the
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Experience_ubuntu.ogg video file
(stopped subtitling it at 1:10). When viewing with vlc player or totem-
xine the timing is correct but with totem-gstreamer the timing is wrong.
As the video file is quite a short one the timing shift is not very
different, but with longer files the timing difference grows.

Here you go - attached screenshots. I tried with different fonts (Linux
Libertine. Liberation, Liberation Sans, Junicode Condensed, Junicode)
and only Junicode had problems with bold. Liberation to my eye does not
change into Liberation Sans, the ɪ and ʃ look a bit bolder than should
though, but this happens also with sans.

[Bug 187884] Re: Failure to resume from suspend on Lenovo 3000 N100

2008-10-29 Thread Aethralis
I can confirm that suspend worked on lenovo 3000 n100 0768 with Hardy
(only caps key was on and no touchpad after resume) and it was also the
case with early Intrepid builds, but as for now my laptop fails to
resume. I have only dark screen and keyboard is locked (num lock and
caps lock do not respond). I can reboot via REISUB though.

appearance-properties crashed with SIGSEGV in
gconf_peditor_new_tree_view()]. I think the bug should be reopened.

[Bug 229305] [NEW] Wrong language code for estonian

2008-05-11 Thread Aethralis
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kbd-chooser

When updating from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04 the Estonian keyboard layout is
wrongly detected as Ethiopian. In /etc/X11/xorg.conf XkbLayout et
gives Ethiopian characters (not Estonian as in 7.10). When changing
xorg.conf XkbLayout to ee results Estonian keyboard layout. ISO 639
alpha-2 language code for Estonian is et and the XkbLayout should use
it correctly.
