I don't know is it the same bug but happens with banshee too. The
application appears to be painted only, I can click through, see the
screenshot.

Installed the package 2d-desktop-settings, then in System Settings 2D-Dekstop
Settings I marked the Auto Hide option. The bug disappeared (so far, I
installed this package on 2011-07-23, so I think it really fixed this bug but I
have no proof).

To reproduce:
1. grab the VLC playlist from http://deevaradio.net/diva/index.html (this is
the funk one!)
2. start vlc in graphical mode (this bug never happened so far when listening
the stream in cvlc!)
3. open the playlist file
