[Bug 1933740] Re: package usrmerge 24ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: el subprocés «s'ha instal·lat el script usrmerge del paquet post-installation» retornà el codi d'eixida d'error 1

2021-06-27 Thread Andreu
After investigating what usrmerge does, I concluded that the problem is due to
my configuration. I use eclipse to manage some system files and this created a
.project file in directories /lib and /usr/lib, preventing that usrmerge can
merge this directories.
Removing the .project file from /lib directory fixes the problem.

[Bug 1891381] [NEW] I cannot upgrade from ubuntu 18.04 LTS to 20.04 LTS

2020-08-12 Thread Xavier Andreu Álvarez
Public bug reported:

The update could not be calculated

An unresolved issue occurred while calculating the update.

 This may be due to:
 * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu.
Use the "ppa-purge" tool in the ppa-purge package
to remove software from a Launchpad PPA and
tone it down to try.

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command
'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If you want to
investigate, the log files in "/ var / log / dist-upgrade" contain the
details of the update. Specifically, see "main.log" and "apt.log."

I used "ppa-purge" tool, but it did not work.

[Bug 1577006] [NEW] Unable to upgrade Ubuntu to 16.04 version from 15.10

2016-04-30 Thread Andreu Correa Casablanca
Public bug reported:

System:
Ubuntu 15.10 64 bits.
Linux castarco-desktop 4.2.0-35-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Tue Mar 15 22:15:45
UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

As an extra note, I'm using the privative Nvidia drivers provided by
Ubuntu (not the ones provided by the NVIDIA webpage).

The upgrade manager is telling me that it can't upgrade my system to
Ubuntu 16.04, but it does not tell me what's the concrete problem, this
is too vague (this is a Spanish message that appears after computing the
needed changes):

2014-08-09 Thread Andreu Correa Casablanca
I've solved the issue typing

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu:/lib/i386-linux-gnu

before doing

apt-get -f install

But this fix it's only available to people with expertise on Linux...

[Bug 1067320] Re: 1002:6798 [fglrx] VT cursor is visible and blinking on top of Unity Radeon HD 7970 and 5450

2013-04-09 Thread Andreu Correa Casablanca
Confirmed with ATI Radeon HD 7750 and AMD Catalyst 13.1 on Ubuntu 12.10
. In many cases (but not frequently) the whole screen turns black for a
few seconds (1 or 2 seconds).

The blinking rectangle corresponds to a console cursor at tty7, i was
able to see the console's text, but I don't know how to reproducte this
effect.

[Bug 643145] Re: Guake overlaps the second screen in a dual-monitor setup with a side panel

2012-09-29 Thread Andreu Correa Casablanca
I have the same problem in Ubuntu 12.06 64 bits .

When I'm using two screens, the guake console is correctly shown, in the
main screen... but when I'm using only one screen, then the right
scroll bar gets hidden because the Unity menu adds some padding to to
guake without a width resizing .

[Bug 819135] [NEW] Sometimes (at startup) GDM only shows the main users, without the others

2011-08-01 Thread Andreu Correa Casablanca
Public bug reported:

Sometimes GDM (2.32.1-0ubuntu3.2) only shows the main user, forgetting
to show the other users. The problem is that issue appears at startup,
and it's confusing for no experienced users.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 (64 bits) full upgraded , with an ATI graphics
card and an Intel iCore5 processor. I don't think those hardware details
are important, but if you need more data I'll post it here.

Same problem here on an Asus Aspire One 532h, lspci giving :
02:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network

Generally the Wifi connection lasts for 2 or 3mn before hanging. The 3G+

[Bug 438150] Re: [karmic] Network-manager fails to reconnect to 3G network

2009-10-05 Thread Emmanuel Andreu
Exactly the same thing with my Huawei E220. Symtpoms are :

- At 1rst insert / connection, immediate deconnection,
- 2nd connection, the modems stays connected for a few minutes / seconds, the
disconnects,
- 3rd connection, everything works fine.

After a while, the connection always has a short stop. From this moment,
it becomes impossible to reconnect. The errormessages from syslog are
then the one described on the previous posts. I have to reboot to be
able to use the 3G modem again.

My machine : Asus Eeepc 1008HA, 9.10 netbook remix. Everything workd
perfectly with XP on the same machine, and with 9.04 on my Lenovo SL400.

[Bug 283852] Re: tomcat6 does not include tomcat-dbcp.jar

2008-11-24 Thread Richard Andreu
In Tomcat 5.5 the default database connection pool factory class is
'org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory', included in commons-
dbcp.jar. So, the applications that didn't specify the dbcp factory
class (the great majority, I guess) worked with no problems using tomcat
5.5 without tomcat-dbcp.jar in the 'commons/lib' folder. The problem is
that starting from Tomcat 6, the default database connection pool
factory class is 'org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory'
included in tomcat-dbcp.jar, so all the applications that expects to
work with Tomcat's default database connection pool factory will fail
if tomcat-dbcp.jar is not in the classpath.

[Bug 269568] [NEW] dpkg installs too easily some packages

2008-09-12 Thread Andreu Correa Casablanca
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dpkg

When the users install packages downloaded directly of Internet and
don't use tools as apt-get or aptitude, they could crash their system
too easily:

if i do: dpkg -i X_package

and the package isn't installable because the dependencies are broken,
dpkg write in any case on the package database the entry of X_package.
This behaviour causes a lot of problems if, for example, we want to
update the system with 'aptitude safe-upgrade'.

If the package isn't important then the problem isn't a problem... but
if we try to install the libc6 then the problem exists.

I thing that dpkg should analyse the dependencies before doing anything.

[Bug 177646] Re: Celeron M530, no frequence scaling

2008-02-24 Thread Emmanuel Andreu
I have the same CPU on my Lenovo 3000 N200 (0769-A42). Trying to insert
p4-clockmod on this m530 gives : FATAL: Error inserting p4_clockmod
(/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/p4-clockmod.ko):
 No such device.
Plus, no sensors (thermals and others) can be found by Linux, even with the
lm-sensor detection tools, on this CPU. The bug is probably not a
gnome-cpufreq-applet one, but should be affected to maybe kernel support,
acpi... Freq modulation and sensors are OK on Vista, sensors OK on XP but
without freq scaling.
The BIOS itself works fine on thermal detection (fan runs OK) but the CPU seems
to overheat when fully loaded (I encountered some shutdowns on high
temperature).
This bug report (or is it a hardware support request ?) should probably be
updated and affected to another package.

I have exactly the same problem. My card is a Nvidia Fx 5500, propietary
driver and Compiz Fusion enabled.

[Bug 134537] Re: [gutsy] No ant support

2007-10-28 Thread Richard Andreu
Same problem here, I've installed Eclipse 3.3 manually and it works
fine. Installing Ant 1.6.5 and pointing Ant Home to that installation
path doesn't work in Eclipse 3.2.

[Bug 93962] Re: black screen when close session

2007-05-24 Thread Richard Andreu
Well, after a couple of tests I found that the problem, at least in mi case,
has to do with Beryl and
not with GDM. If I repeat the steps posted above (see my previous post) using
Beryl as the window
manager, what happens is that the screen asking for the password to unlock the
active session of
user A goes blank. But even though the screen is blank I can type my password,
press enter and
return to the opened session. If I do the steps using Metacity, I have no
problems at all.

[Bug 93962] Re: black screen when close session

2007-05-23 Thread Richard Andreu
Same problem here. I'm using nvidia-glx driver on Feisty. The steps that
produce the issue for me are:

1.- Log in as user A
2.- Press 'Switch User'
3.- Log in as user B. At this point, both sessions, A and B are active
4.- Close session B

Then the screen goes blank. I can't close a session if there's another
session active
