[Bug 208267] Re: openjdk-6 path should be added to java_home
Daniel, you have three ways (if you want eclipse to become updated and fixed): - assign this bug to Ubuntu MOTU Team (because they maintain eclipse in ubuntu) - find similar bugs in debian and try to pester debian maintainers (because debian packages migrate to ubuntu) - fix it yourself and post the patched package to PPA (or even build the latest one, but I'm sure there should be one in someones PPA) It's an OSS world :) ** Changed in: eclipse (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => MOTU Java Growers (motujava) -- openjdk-6 path should be added to java_home https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208267 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 208267] Re: openjdk-6 path should be added to java_home
Daniel, since the eclipse package is not updated to the current mainstream version (actually it's about 2 years old), and I guess wont be in observable future, this bug will migrate from one ubuntu release to another. The fix is really simple: just add the needed path to JAVA_HOME. Or use netbeans :) It's up-to-date, and there is some support on this IDE in ubuntu forums and launchpad. -- openjdk-6 path should be added to java_home https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208267 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 209939] Re: f-spot.exe crashed with SIGSEGV
Why this and most of alike bugreports about f-spot crashing in hardy on closing are marked as incomplete/invalid? Nothing special is needed to reproduce it: just make a fresh install of Hardy (or upgrade to it), open and close the f-spot and get core dump. That's it. At least all bugrepots marked as invalid, with comments about duplicating should be marked as duplicates of this or similar bugreport. I think the importance also should be set to high at least. It's not a good idea to have a crashing aplication which is assumed to be the default for common every day use in the LTS release. Here are two last messages printed to terminal when f-spot run whith --debug option: (f-spot:7360): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: GdkPixbufLoader finalized without calling gdk_pixbuf_loader_close() - this is not allowed. Patching and building restricted-manager-core, restricted-manager and restricted-manager-kde doesn't make much sense, because *.mo files aren't generated during the build process. Quick investigation shows, that localized messages for restricted-manager are contained in language-pack-*-base packages, so they need to be patched instead of restricted-manager-* and our "big" pacth should be divided to 3 lesser ones: for ru, fi, and ja locales respectively. [Bug 154214] Re: [gutsy] restricted-manager fails to start after upgrade
The same thing happens with finnish locale. See bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/restricted-manager/+bug/153220 As I can see from source package of restricted-manager there is now translation in the file ru.po for the following text: --- #: ../restricted-manager:476 msgid "" "Proprietary drivers do not have public source code that %(os)s developers " "are free to modify. They represent a risk to you because they are only " "available on the types of computer chosen by the manufacturer, and security " "updates to them depend solely on the responsiveness of the manufacturer. " "%(os)s cannot fix or improve these drivers." msgstr "" #: ../restricted-manager:499 --- So the key 'os' in "% {'os' : get_os_name())" becomes invalid in RestrictedManagerCommon.py line 242. In finnish case there is an error in translations (see the link i've provided). So the quick workaround is to copy-paste the contetnts of msgid secton i've provided to msgstr section of ru.po. [Bug 111690] Kernel oops when inserting pcmcia CF reader
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic I have Acer Aspire 5101 AWLMi laptop with AMD Turion64 (single core) CPU, and installed amd64 version of Ubuntu 7.04. This bug is perfectly reproducible in Ubumtu 6.10 and 7.04. When I insert PCMCIA compact flash card reader I get the following dmesg output: [ 267.670692] pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0 [ 267.670698] cs: memory probe 0x0c-0x0f: excluding 0xc-0xc 0xe-0xf [ 267.675119] cs: memory probe 0x3000-0x33ff: excluding 0x3000-0x33ff [ 267.675137] cs: memory probe 0x6000-0x60ff: clean.
