It looks like on Aug 9, 2013 1:17 PM the status of this bug has been
updated to Abandoned. Another link is provided as a problem bug to be
solved first but the link is a dead one now : HTTP Error 404 Not found.

The font size displayed in my Qt5 apps is way too big on my system. I used to
get it right in Qt4 with the app Qt 4 Settings (package qt40qtconfig) which is
not available for Qt5.

I have looked to the shared libraries cache and there is no trace (as
expected) of the library reported as missing libgvc.so.6 (this is a
symlink to libgvc.so.6.0.0 the actual lib).
$ ldconfig -p | grep libgvc

I was running emacs24 on Precise 12.04 after an install from this ppa @
https://launchpad.net/~cassou/+archive/emacs
Install worked fine. Until recently when installing new programs
(SuperCollider) which were byte compiling for emacs24.

My 2 cents on this bug after experementing 3 versions of OpenJPEG

The official version released in any Debian or Ubuntu distribution is
libopenjpeg2_1.3+dfsg [...]. This package is build from version 1.3 of

I did add a KONICA MINOLTA mc1650 laser printer through System
Settings...
I then used the PPD file from the install DVD. I did configure the
printer IP address to be 192.168.1.51 then I checked through a ping that
the printer was accessible.

with the debug option and package the /usr/bin and /usr/lib in it (in

Trouble is that these libraries have different names and are all
present. It should be to the applications to decide whatever library
they want to use and the system shoud not interfere in any way. Albeit
it looks like there is some weird interferences for some applications.

and libpng16 and reading from Chow Loong Jin (hyperair) that his
analysys of MONO points him to :

I have the exact same problem as another bug already reported bug which
has been marked as invalid.
I strongly disagree with the term Invalid.
When attempting to launch any version [even superseded ones] of banshee
[for Precise 12.04 amd64] from the Command Line I get:

I can attest that gnome-color-manager successfuly installed in Precise
12.04.2 LTS.
However there is no way to launch the application :
$ gnome-color-manager
gnome-color-manager: command not found
