[Bug 1410060] [NEW] nvidia-331 331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4: nvidia-331 kernel module failed to build
Public bug reported: 14.04 doesn't seem to let me run the nvidia drivers. The drivers seem to crash with semi-regularity. I'm hoping that 14.10 will fix this. [Bug 894188] [NEW] Unstable network connection when moving large data sets
Public bug reported: I have noticed this issue on my fit-pc2 for two different ubuntu-server installs. If I saturate the network bandwidth for any length of time it drops out only to return at some indeterminate point in the future. This happens with samba, ssh rsync, and NFS. [Bug 202764] Re: Network dies when I use rsync to copy files to this machine
I just rolled back to Gutsy on the target machine. My main desktop runs Hardy and my backup desktop is running Gutsy. I'm going to test it again by updating from Gutsy to Intrepid and see what happens. -- Network dies when I use rsync to copy files to this machine https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202764 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I found a fix in bug #75055 and posted what I did in bug#33269 since it is triaged as high importance. -- Upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy Alpha 6 fails after reboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201483 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 33269] Re: root filesystem fails to mount (sata_nv module is loaded)
Amazingly I was able to find a fix after scouring this site. The answer was in bug #75055. If I added pci=nomsi to my kernel line in the menu.lst file I was able to get past BusyBox. Unfortunately all is not well. I can't seem to get Hardy to recognize my ipod and it freezes occasionally. I'm going to turn off compiz effects and see if that is the source of the freezes. -- root filesystem fails to mount (sata_nv module is loaded) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/33269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 201483] Re: Upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy Alpha 6 fails after reboot
I'm having the same issue with an abit AN52 board that uses the Nvidia chipset. I thought something got screwed up when I upgraded to Hardy beta from Gutsy until I tried it with a brand new Alpha 6 livecd install on a different hard drive. It worked fine until I upgraded to the latest packages. As a final test I've gone and gotten a Hardy Beta livecd iso and I'm trying one last time to prove to myself the bug is in Hardy. I'll be upgrading to the latest packages in a minute and I'll add a comment if anything changes.
I have a similar issue which I added here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/201483. I'm not sure how close this issue is but I get trapped in BusyBox after I update to latest in Hardy. This seems to be a more active bug so I'm going to keep my status here. -- root filesystem fails to mount (sata_nv module is loaded) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/33269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 202764] [NEW] Network dies when I use rsync to copy files to this machine
Public bug reported: Ubuntu hardy Alpha 6 I'm not sure where the bug lies. It could also be in openssh or any number of places. Here's what I want to happen: I'm trying to backup files from a Gutsy machine to a Hardy machine. Using rsync it should just copy the files and/or diffs across. Here's what actually happens: From an Ubuntu Gutsy machine I enter this at the command line: rsync -avz /here/ hardybox:/there It begins to copy the files from here to there. I watch for a few minutes and then the verbose output from rsync just hangs. If I try and ping the Hardy machine all the packets are dropped. When I go to the Hardy machine I can't get out to the network anymore. To fix it I have to restart the network. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: network rsync -- Network dies when I use rsync to copy files to this machine https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202764 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
