[Bug 1676953] [NEW] marco crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

2017-03-28 Thread Borislav Ivanov
Public bug reported:

Hello,

Sometimes I received a crash report for Marco and of course I send send
it, but like there is no change after all. So this time I decided to
report it here.

There is no specific situation in which it happens. Sometimes it happens
when minimized VLC Media Player while watching a movie, sometimes while
browsing. I can't specify a particular situation in which this is
happening for sure.

I found a crash log for Marco at /var/crash , so I attached it.

Ubuntu Mate 16.10, Linux PC 4.8.0-42-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Wed Mar 8
20:06:06 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux. It is up-to-date.

Let me know if I could provide more information.

2016-10-14 Thread Borislav Petrović
During the installation I got the message about installer being run in UEFI
mode and to continue or go back.
I've had Ubuntu 15.10 installed on the laptop which was bought as Win 8 ready
machine.

I tried to install and preserve my old files only to have this shim jump
out when I started the system.

I've since wiped the disk and made a clean install so I don't know what
else to do to help here.

It was unusual to get that message, and it was unusual to get the error.

If you need me to check out a few things or need any further info please
tell me. Otherwise you can really close this as it isn't relevant
anymore.

[Bug 976537] [NEW] Firefox 11 won't display particular pages if antialiasing is disabled by removing the symlink 10-antialias.conf from/etc/fonts/conf.d

2012-04-08 Thread Borislav Bankov
Public bug reported:

Hello everybody,

I am using Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS and the newest Firefox package
11.0+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.2 available in the repositories. In order to
get readable fonts in Firefox, I disabled anti-aliasing by removing the
symlink 10-antialias.conf from/etc/fonts/conf.d.

After a while, I noticed that certain pages won't display correctly, for
example:

http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=ekigasearchon=namessuite=stablesection=all
http://www.dreamtheater.net/

My first thought was that the issue has got something to do with the
rendering of the page itself, because after pointing Firefox to one of
the URLs, only a blank page is being displayed, but the source code of
the page is viewable by typing Ctrl+U.

Re-enabling anti-aliasing by recreating the symlink 10-antialias.conf
and restarting Firefox fixes the issue (except that after that all fonts
look blurry).

I am not sure if the issue is caused by Firefox itself or by some
incompatibility with the underlying libraries which are used for font
rendering.

Best regards,

Borislav
