I did memtest overnight, it was still running after about 16 hours with
some 8,000 errors listed, guess it's time to get new memory! I had no
idea of the state of my memory. Does this mean that the kernel panic is

testdrive to download the iso but haven't been able to use testdrive-gtk
- I click the icon in either unity or gnome and nothing happens. Htop

Couldn't find the config program for gnome-screensaver (a last ditch
effort before uninstalling it) so I just typed it in the terminal, and
my whole system locked up.

After authenticating, Startup Disk Creator gave an error message:
org.freedesktop.UDisks.Error.Failed: Error modifying partition: helper exited
with exit code 1: In part_change_partition: device_file=/dev/sdb,
start=1048576, new_start=1048576, new_size=2046820352,
The 3rd time I tried I was able to successfully format the USB drive.

Startup
It just happened again. I'll be attaching pictures. I had 2 usb drives
plugged in, if I remember, there was a USB drive plugged in the other
time, too.
Is there a specific place that this output might be accessed? If not,
I'll try and reconstruct what it says through the images.

Whether I get desktop preferences from the command line or from the
desktop, it doesn't matter. As soon as I click wallpaper on the menu,
the background goes black.

I was looking up from typing and suddenly the screen went black with a
