A small change has been made to PyRAF so that this crash no longer
occurs. I am not sure who at STSCI originally fielded the Nicolas'
call. However, PyRAF users (on any OS) should be aware that running
tasks such as

Do you know who exactly I will need to contact? I'll do everything I
can to push this update. This is a very unacceptable situation, both
the debian bug report and the launchpad report list this bug as
"severity: grave", and "Importance: High", respectively. No work needs
to be done to fix this

Keytouch is still version 2.3.2 in the intrepid (and hardy) repos.
Unfortunately there is a serious flaw with this version of the program
that prevents the computer from shutting down. This is discussed in
great detail in the launchpad bug repor
I've looked at the package list for Intrepid, and it still shows
keytouch 2.3.2 as the version that'll be in the repos.
2.4.1 fixes these issues, why isn't this updated version in the repos
yet?
