[Bug 1765036] Re: BCM4350 needs to be unloaded/loaded on suspend to not crash
Hi. I have Ubuntu 20.04 running on a Macboook PRO 2016 (with touchbar). I'm experiencing the same issue, but unloading brcmfmac module before suspend did not help. I also tried reloading the module and NetworkManager when the laptop wakes up, but not helpful as well. For making wifi work on my macbook I had to put this txt file inside /lib/firmware/brcm https://gist.github.com/cristianmiranda/ba9d64b4324f0803d9422d765de62252 I observed that after rebooting (which is the only fix so far) I can connect to 5G networks instantly, but after suspend/resume it tries to connect for a long time (if it gets to see them anyway) and fails. Any progress on this issue? [Bug 1767720] Re: Ubiquity crashed during install of 18.04 with error 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'
I only found this issue after a failed installation attempt, so (apologies) I am short on detailed info. But I'm getting what looks superficially at least just like this issue, installing to a Macbook Pro (13", 2013). So no GeForce involved in my case. I was booting from the Ubuntu 18.04 install iso on a small USB stick, and installing to a (new) ext4 partition on an external SSD (GUID partition map, with a couple of existing HFS+ partitions) mounted via USB. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1767720 Title: Ubiquity crashed during install of 18.04 with error 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1767720/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 65621] Re: DeskJet 3740 (and probably many others) should print in reverse
Are you serious? It's been nearly 8 years and this crap still hasn't been solved. Have you ever printed 20 pages in multiple sets? I did, with my F370, and then I had to reorder them manually every single time. This is why the Linux userspace will never take over the desktop-- stubborn developers who get in the way of convenience. How is the default behaviour faster? [Bug 496253] Re: login keyring does not get unlocked at login
The problem seems to be related to downgrading gdm to gdm-2.20. Steps to reproduce: 1. downgrade to gdm-2.20 (e.g.: apt-get install gdm-2.20) 2. remove residual gdm's configuration files (e.g.: dpkg --purge gdm) 3. reinstall gdm-2.20 (e.g.: apt-get --reinstall install gdm-2.20) Restart and login: the login.keyring does not get anymore unlocked automatically. The following steps seem to solve the problem: 1. reinstall gdm (e.g.: apt-get install gdm) 2. downgrade to gdm-2.20 (e.g.: apt-get install gdm-2.20) 3. do not purge the gdm configuration! -- login keyring does not get unlocked at login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496253 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 272832] Re: new design still not implemented
Hi all of you here ;) after reading this posts I can say that the main Ubuntu's lookfeel, or interface need a big review. Yes the MacOS looks good, Vista also, but Ubuntu need something different, surely not to introduce dark themes as default; Apple slowly leaves the Aqua interface to something more simple, more clean and efficient, at least this i think is the direction they took... Orange and brown is not bad, it reminds sun but no fresh, warm but no cold, I think here need to combine these items to really come out something new; I'm sure a lot of you know what must be done for ; some impressions with a little angry that my preffered OS hasn't yet a solid identity for impact. [Bug 231575] Re: ATAPI devices malfunctioning
Some days ago, tired of not being able to use the devices fully, I've installed an extension SATA controller card based on the Sil 3114: a similar problem showed up for some newly acquired SATA optical devices. The problem seems to have disappeared after I've installed the extension card on a PCI slot with a reserved IRQ. As the on-board SATA controller shares the IRQ with other devices on the motherboard, I'm asking myself if probably the problem is due to the ata driver not working properly with ATAPI devices on a controller in such configuration :/ -- ATAPI devices malfunctioning https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231575 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 231575] [NEW] ATAPI devices malfunctioning

I'm not sure if due to this troubles, but I had to remove a DVD-ROM device from the system because a audio cdrom literally exploded (probably due to too high speed?) and kept getting these errors for the other device, a DVD-RW. Re: [Bug 204224] Re: Invalid color constant in theme
You all here, have always missed to take a look closer at the Aurora GTK Engine, which is a lot better than Murrina ;) who cares about a boxed color error in a gtkrc source of an engine which is not the default in Ubuntu? ;) pathetic 2008/3/20, Kenneth Wimer [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I must have missed a 0. [Bug 159686] action 'ask me' (interactive) not available for suspend button
Public bug reported: Hi, when using the 'gnome-power-preferences' on 'gutsy' the option 'ask me' does not seem to be available among the actions available for the suspend button, although it is possible to configure the desired behavior by setting the gconf key /apps/gnome-power- manager/buttons/suspend to 'interactive'. [Bug 110299] Re: Intel 82945G/GZ card freezes computer
I've found at another bug comments about a similar trouble with ATI X300 Card. I have the suspicion that it is the Animations plugin that causes the freeze when one of the effects are activated (perhaps some pointer goes spoink). If this is the case, then further investigation would be to identify which animation is to blame. So far I have deactivated the animations plugin and it seems to go ok :-) I've not tried yet .. -- Intel 82945G/GZ card freezes computer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110299 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
