I have the same laptop with Ubuntu 20.04.2 and same problem with the
Bluetooth adapter. After reading this thread, I made a win10 USB boot
drive, shortly after booting it the Bluetooth adapter was detected and i
paired it with my phone. I got the below info from powershell.

[Bug 1210380] Re: package mysql-server-5.5 5.5.32-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2013-08-09 Thread Dan Jones
YAH Gérald- Yet Another Hooray for Gérald - the patch fixed the problem.

As was pointed out, -proposed is for testing and those of us who use it
realize we may find some issues. The good part is to see how fast the
problem can be fixed.

Thanks to all.

Yes, the problem is fixed for me with the test1_amd64 version.

Installing the test version and restarting made it do the expected thing
- i.e. work.

Thanks!

[Bug 662296] Re: sound applet volume slider has no effect if pulseaudio is restarted

2010-10-23 Thread Dan Jones
I also have this problem (on x64 version).

If I do pulseaudio -k then the indicator volume slider has no effect on
sources connected via module-loopback (like my digital tv card) even tho
pulseaudio automatically restarts. The sound preferences dialog volume
slider continues to work and do the right thing, etc. just as reported
in #7.

Doing a killall indicator-sound-service does indeed right the ship until
the next time one kills pulseaudio.
