computers whether I use 32bit or 64bit Ubuntu 14.04 and whether i use a
Dell Latitude, Dell Inspiron or a HP-computer. This is obviously a very

I sent a email to alsa-devel, but i wish to say that the volume reset
bug seems to be a problem across many soundcards NOT only Realtek. Tried
Ubuntu 12.04, 12.10, 13.04 alpha live cds on my and dad's computer. With
Asus Xonar Essence STX i get same volume reset bug shown here:
With alsa-hda-dkms 0.201303071550~quantal1 installed, all output devices still
gone after restart.
Did early patch with hda-jack-retask again, 0x1e - spdif out and 0x11 - n/a.

I tend to switch default playback between two outputs on the same
soundcard, the s/pdif digital out and 3.55mm headphone jack. I expect
both devices to save their previous output levels from last time i used
it. This doesn't happen.

But yes, that file should be removed. Along with
/usr/lib/firefox-5.0/defaults/pref/vendor.js and

Choosing liferea from the Messaging Menu should raise its window

Same in natty, if liferea is already open and behind other applications
on the desktop clicking on it from the messaging menu does nothing. But
if liferea is running minimized when you click it from messaging menu
the icon in the launcher shakes and the program is raised.

I have now used #270 for 6 days, and I still get about 7Mbit/s down and
0.64Mbit/s up. These number are what I could expect from my ISP. I get
the same speed by testing the from my MacBookPro.
#270 surely works for my system and I am very happy!

I have almost the same problem, but for me it don't help to switch to console
and back to x.
After i have written the password i can see the mousepointer changing when i
move it across the screen, depending on what is suppose to be showing (link in
firefox, text input, etc), but the screen
