it seems to occur only with the nvidia GeForce video chip, in my notebook wich has an Intel Graphics this doesn't happens. I've tested with light dm and the result was a black screen after booting. yes, I was using a wired connection, I've also tested with a wireless connection but I had to activate it form a terminal. The files I've sent were all in /var/log/gdm, I've listed with 'sudo ls -a' and couldn't find any greeter log.
