[Bug 934956] Re: [REGRESSION] Xorg Intel GMA 3600 driver does not work (Atom N2600 onboard graphics)

2012-03-22 Thread Fernando Sancho
linux-3.3 has GMA3600 support. It's experimental but it works. I have
built a linux-3.3 kernel on Oneiric and it finally works. It would be
nice to pull gma500_gfx driver from linux-3.3 to dkms system in order to
have it updated more often without compiling the entire kernel.

I have solved it by adding acpi=force to boot options in grub.

[Bug 934956] Re: [REGRESSION] Xorg Intel GMA 3600 driver does not work (Atom N2600 onboard graphics)

2012-03-08 Thread Fernando Sancho
I have a MSI Wind U180 with Atom N2600. Oneiric works, but in vesa mode
and 800x600 resolution. No way to get 1024x600.

Precise live cd boots up, but screen goes black and nothing works to
get a console (Ctrl-Alt-F1). The system isn't freezed because Ctrl-Alt-
Supr or Power Button shuts down the machine but there is no way to get a
console.

AFAIK this GPU is similar to GMA500 and intel doesn't offer support. Is
PowerVR who makes the drivers, and i don't know how to get it.

[Bug 519268] [NEW] Devhelp book missing

2010-02-09 Thread Fernando Sancho
Public bug reported:

Long ago the SDL devhelp book became obsolete and was removed. I have
rebuilt the devhelp index file from chm file distributed in the
official web site. I have attached both files, sdl.devhelp and
sdl.devhelp2

These files have to be copied into
/usr/share/doc/libsdl1.2-dev/docs/html/ and a symbolic link has to be
made in /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/sdl pointing to
/usr/share/doc/libsdl1.2-dev/docs/html/

Thats all.

Re: [Bug 430250] Re: firefox reports lock: permission denied; doesn't start.

2009-11-02 Thread Fernando Sancho
Yes, I forgot to mention that i am using likewise-open to join an active
directory too.

The apparmor change worked for me.

One noteworthy situation on my system at least is that I am using
likewise-open to join an active directory domain. So this means that
instead of /home/$USER/, the user directories are at
/home/WINDOMAIN/$USER/ I don’t know if this is the case for Fernando
Sancho or pato101, but I’m fairly sure that’s the culprit for me.
