Networkmanager gets its list of connections from the driver, and the
driver may report the old one to exist when in fact it doesn't. This is

Yes, it hangs with 020632-generic mainline kernel, and is fine with
2.6.31-ubuntu14. Oddly enough, it works fine while at the GDM prompt.
It is only after gnome login that it will hang. I considered a compiz
issue, disabled it, no effect.

Very annoying, especially when watching movies. The disk will spin down

networkmanager's fault. It seems the previous connected network shows
up in the scanning list before real networks do, and then it doesn't go

I thought I was affected by this bug, but as it turns out, it was
another one. My swap file had gone missing due to an invalid UUID,
which is another bug. This caused unresponsiveness when ram got filled
up. Maybe others have this problem.

I read somewhere it was possible to get the function of the keys back by
using an older kernel. Is there anyway to tell acpi to get its hands
off the brightness keys and video brightness without turning off acpi
completely? I don't care if gnome can't control my brightness, I just
