I'd expect that someone at Canonical might have a better chance at spurring
communication between GRUB and BTRFS than a mere end-user.

usage. The card gets 2 partitions, an unencrypted /boot and a LUKS-
encypted root. There's no swap since the card size is 16GB, and I need
as much storage as I can get. The card gets plugged into a 2GB netbook,

Attempting install of 32-bit version to empty 16GB SDHC card. Booted
from 4GB USB key with Nov 25 daily live of Precise created with Startup
Disk Creator. Can't create new partition on SDHC in Do Something Else
option. Sometimes get ubi-partman error 114.

Well, okay, if that's going to be Canonical's attitude. I thought Unity
was targeted for netbooks. Now you're saying that if I use my netbook as
a workbench machine with an external monitor, you're not interested in
supporting that configuration. I realize nobody's going to connect an

Same behaviour in Precise. Unity not usable in mirrored dual-monitor
configuration.

g_datalist_id_set_data_full()

Attached tar contains screenshots, one set when system is booted with
ext mon showing the truncation, the other without. There's also an
xerrors logfile.
If I choose Unity2D at logon, I get correct results with and without the
external monitor.
