As of Gutsy this only seems to happen on the LiveCD, once installed there doesn't seem to be any corruption and a resolution shows up in the usplash.conf, its not 1920x1200 but I think thats a VESA flaw. It could still be somewhat disconcerting to people trying Ubuntu for the first time. #
