[Bug 2060659] Re: X11 fractional scaling support is missing in 46.0
I can report that the packages 46.0-1ubuntu8 works like a charm, many thanks! Downloaded the from here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter I did however had to use --force-overwrite on mutter-common since there was a conflict with the file ./usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.mutter.gschema.xml that is also provided by magpie-common. This could also have been a side effect from my testing. What I can tell there's still that conflict. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060659 Title: X11 fractional scaling support is missing in 46.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2060659/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1913698] [NEW] Enabled LDAP, cannot login if user not in /etc/passwd
Public bug reported: I installed nslcd, libnss-ldapd, migration-tools, slapd, ldapscripts. Using the migration-scripts I copied the users to LDAP. getent shadow (as root) shows encrypted passwords and everything works as it should. Lightdm however, doesn't. I'm unable to logon using Xephyr (XDMCP) or locally. As a workaround I can copy the line for the user back into /etc/passwd and then login works. [Bug 1382046] [NEW] libvirt-bin unaware of uids on LDAP when started via systemd
Public bug reported: I was unable to connect to libvirtd from my regular user account after upgrading to Utopic Unicorn. The error from 'virsh list' was something about that libvirtd couldn't resolve my uid. failed to find user record for uid I think. [Bug 1055810] Re: Cannot create keyboard shortcuts
Default shortcuts such as Alt-F2 'Application Finder' and Cltr-Esc for 'xfdesktop --menu' do work. It seems like it's the combination of Ctrl-Shift and letter that doesn't work anymore. It's missing the shift-key, and thus Ctrl-Shift-x or Ctrl-X (capital X) gets mapped to Ctrl-x (lower case). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1055810 Title: Cannot create keyboard shortcuts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1055810/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1055810] Re: Cannot create keyboard shortcuts
This seems to be related somehow; https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1054034 I have experienced this on four of the computers I have upgraded to quantal. On all of them I had xflock4 mapped to Ctrl-Shift-L and rxvt to Ctrl-Shift-X. I cannot configure this behaviour on any of the computers. If I try to add a mapping as Ctrl-Shift-X it gets mapped as just Ctrl-X. As a stop-gap measure I have remapped to Ctrl-Alt-X, but this is awkward for me. [Bug 1055810] [NEW] Cannot create keyboard shortcuts
Public bug reported: I just upgraded to 12.10 from 12.04 and noticed that the shortcuts I'm used to in Xubuntu don't work anymore. I have mapped Ctrl-Shift-X to start an xterm (rxvt unicode actually these days) and Ctrl-Shift-L to xflock4. When I try to re-map these in xfce4-keyboard-settings it says that e.g. xflock4 is mapped to Primaryl. I think it was Ctrl_LShift_Ll before. What's more annoying is that the shortcut to xterm doesn't get mapped into nothing else than a simple Cltr-x. [Bug 1055810] Re: Cannot create keyboard shortcuts
** Description changed: I just upgraded to 12.10 from 12.04 and noticed that the shortcuts I'm used to in Xubuntu don't work anymore. This makes sending e-mail from - alpine a little hard . + alpine a little hard, every time I try pressing Ctrl-X I get a new + terminal instead of sending e-mail. [Bug 915251] [NEW] LightDM + LDAP accounts hang if username is preceded with whitespace
Public bug reported: This might affect PAM and/or nslcd instead, but lightdm should be able to cope with it. We have our users in an OpenLDAP directory, and I have disabled the user list from lightdm. Some people seem to have the habit of waking the monitor by pressing the spacebar, thus entering their username with a preceding whitespace. I have a line like this in syslog; nslcd[2624]: [ac3ac4] username changed from haneliuh to haneliuh The expected behaviour would be to just reject the login attempt and return back to the login windows. Instead, lightdm now just hangs. If one changes to a text console and back the lightdm login windows remains all light grey.
