In a 16.04 live-system backports are disabled. By a fresh install of 16.04
backports are ENabled?

I tried 2 left handed mouse pointer themes in X/Ubuntu 11.10.
in 10.10 they worked sometimes
I tried to use Yellow Dot - Left Handed (05/16/2007) and Obsidian (left
handed version)
1.0.1 (03/11/2010). Only in 10.04 the left handed pointers worked normal.
It seems the same sometimes in 11.10 …
I'd tested an 11.04 Xubuntu live-ISO:
no crash with bookmarks in ODT's - it's fixed in Xubuntu 11.04, LibreOffice
3.3.2-1ubuntu4, Clipman 1.1.3-3ubuntu3
It's also fixed in 10.04 with a libreoffice-ppa.

Download data wasn't possible for me with 64bits OpenJDK.
I installed Ubuntu 10.04 in a VirtualBox and used ggc there to download data
from my meter.
The 32bits OpenJDK-application is slower - so I made a copy of some files to
use them in my 64bits X/Ubuntu:

I tried to use ggc_0.4, configured the Meter plug-in v1.0.7, selected
Breeze2, selected port /dev/ttyS0, cable connected + Breeze2 on.
It's not possible te read data from the Breeze2.
