[Bug 1496014] Re: kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt drm_kms_helper
I've updated my system yesterday via software updater to the newest kernel version (3.13.0-66). Seems that this new version is running w/o problems: uptime 09:46:06 up 1 day, 15:22, 3 users, load average: 4,95, 3,41, 1,79 uname -r 3.13.0-66-generic Seems to be stable again. From my point of view the problem is solved. [Bug 1496014] Re: kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt drm_kms_helper
Have taken a look to the HowTo for the MainlineBuilds. The preparation part requires to uninstall VirtualBox and other modules. My problem is that this is my "production" machine, and VirtualBox is the main reason that this machine exists. First I have to build up an alternative server, this may take a while. Thank you for your understanding. [Bug 1496014] Re: kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt drm_kms_helper
So, for my Motherboard Asus P8z77-V Deluxe, I have updated the bios to the latest available (2104 08/13/2013). Started machine with the latest kernel, but after about two hours it stopped again. It did not switch back to text console mode, it was a frozen GUI. Switched back to previous kernel, with that everything is running ok.
