like messing around int he /boot drive without someone else giving them

update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't

patches released after initial install. The OS should `sudo apt-get
autoclean` instead of crash. Fine to "notify" user of the inadequate

After trying Jurgen's fix:
sudo apparmor_parser -R /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld
sudo ln -s /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld
/etc/apparmor.d/disable/usr.sbin.mysqld
sudo service mysql start
I still get this in syslog:

I had to do a grep on my LAN gateway/proxy IP or a bit of the URL it uses
for login. That turned up the corrupted entries for me. My local gateway is
10.10.0.1 so:

Dual boot Ubuntu 9.10 Windows 7 on Dell Inspiron 14. Got crash icon.
Error occurred when using synaptic to update all packages after install
of Ubuntu on second partition on Laptop. Overwrote existing
