specialists) said they stopped using Corsair RAMs due to some "past

The problem is finally solved by a change of RAM!
Apparently Corsair RAM (I had 2x 8GB DDR4) sometimes causes problems with Linux
(when everything works fine with Windows).
It was changed by a company specialized in Linux which uses Crucial or Kingston.

The workaround from dev001 was all that worked on my Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS
running on a ZOTAC MAG ND01. Even turning _netdev on did not help.

Is there any chance that this gets fixed for Lucid Lynx as well?
The workaround from Sylvain only removes the error message on my
computer but does not speed up
