Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: tex-common

mktexlsr/updmap-sys/... etc is only invoked once at the end of an apt
run (this would imho seriously speed up an apt-get install texlive-full
for example).

I just found https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wacom which suggests that
the tablet is working but most input devices are enabled. I was to tired

evening.

xextensionkeyboard. It should be an xextensionpointer (I think).

If you strace pidgin, you will see that it tries to read from a socket
which is closed, but this fact is ignored. When pidgin hangs, strace is
an endless repetition of:

Binary package hint: pidgin
Pidgin internally has visibility managers. There always has to be at
least one. If you start pidgin at session startup, the visibility
manager representing the docklet will first be registered, when the
dockbar is completely loaded.

Binary package hint: udev
The WAIT_FOR_SYSFS udev rule in 113-ubuntu16 waits only for 3 seconds.
This may result in the hotplug event being sent to hal to early which in
turn hinders the device from being automounted.
There are two work-arounds available from upstream:
