I got some GPU lock-ups or freezes today an last weekend and want to
report it (x-org). But every time I go through ubuntu-bug it says at the
end, that the bug can't be reported because it isn't a official release
and I have to uninstall all 3rd party packages first
I just ran into this bug also on Ubuntu 20 LTS after updating the kernel a week
ago (multiboot laptop with Ubuntu and Windows 10). After figuring out that it's
not a hardware issue (since windows still booted normally), I made the switch
to Jammy, installed Ubuntu and all my software from scratc
I did the following changes and am now flicker-free for two days:
In file /etc/default/grub I added to parameter GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT:

Thank you for your help. I've tried step 1 and 2 but both failed at
first. So I've done step 3 and applied the workaround, restarted the
system and tried to reproduce the issue. Nothing, all is working fine.
But now I've tried to resend the crash file and now it worked.
Here's the new
mmand fixed it after a short time. I tried to jump back every
time with Ctrl + Alt + F1 and anytime it worked.
I have no idea if this is a Foxit Reader bug or a issue by GDM/xorg.
I additionally attached you my latest protocols. In this time the freeze
occured.
