[Bug 1096589] Re: All audio players freeze randomly in 13.04
Hello, I have a similar problem, audio players seem to randomly freeze while playing mp3s. I'll try to get a stacktrace with gdb maybe you could try too by following these steps : 1. Start Banshee in a terminal with banshee --debug 2. Open another terminal 3. Hook gdb onto the running Banshee process: gdb -p `pidof banshee` 4. Once gdb's prompt appears, get it to allow the Banshee process to continue by typing cont 5. Reproduce the crash 6. The gdb prompt should appear. Type bt full to get the full stack trace. Then type quit to quit gdb. 7. Copy the outputs from both terminals and save them into separate text files 8. Attach both files to this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1096589 Title: All audio players freeze randomly in 13.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1096589/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

@Vincent I understand that if you don't move your cursor you don't expect the workspace to change, but one never only do : - press Super-S - press Super-S because it's supposed to do nothing, I think one do : -press Super-S -move between workspace with directions key -press enter OR - press super-S - *move* the cursor - press super-S The workspace switcher is like its name says a workspace *switcher*. [Bug 1090429] Re: Quiting transmission from unity bar sometimes only closes the GUI, not Transmission instance
Hello, I think it's supposed to work that way. If you choose to activate Show Transmission icon in the notification area in Transmission options, then when you try to quit using right- click on the launcher it will only quit the GUI and Transmission will stay in the background. The only way to quit Transmission completely is by using the Transmission applet in the panel (or top bar like you said). If this behavior annoys you, just desactivate Show Transmission icon in the notification area in Transmission options and you'll be able to completely quit Transmission using right-click on the launcher's Transmission icon (or unity bar like you said). I hope my explanation will help you, and I think I can put this bug as Invalid since for me it is not a bug. [Bug 1092158] Re: Net space change after update should be shown to user
I agree, I tend to use more apt-get for my updates and it shows both the amount of data downladed and the additional disk space that will be used like : 30 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 29.4 MB of archives. After this operation, 2,052 kB of additional disk space will be used. It seems rightful that the update manager shows the same amount of information as apt-get, because they are useful for any user.
