I have been running kernel 4.8.7 64bit (from

Appears to work OK with my hardware and fixes the USB problem.

After return from suspend the desktop icons have lost text description.
There is a white rectangle on a black background. Recovery by
logout/login or restart sddm. Changing desktop theme does not affect
the problem.

I have this bug. It was in Kubuntu 15.04 and 15.10. It occurs after some
system changes and often after an update. I have not been able to find
exactly what changes cause the loss of configuration.
I have dual monitors on an Nvidia GTX750 graphics card.

I think my problem is related to Kubuntu 15.10 64bit. I have installed
Kubuntu 15.10 32bit in another partition and midi works very well.
The problem would appear to be a 64bit incompatibility somewhere.

I have found that the delay is related to the network-manager that is in
the system tray.
I have removed the system tray from the panel. Then added digital
clock, clipboard, volume control and available device widgets instead.
This solves the delay.

this delay remains.
It did not appear until an update was applied to a beta 1 version about
01/10/2015. After logging in, the desktop with wallpaper appears with icons

I first noted this bug whist testing on Kubuntu pre-prelease on
12/10/2013. I am now checking the same on 14.04. The bug appears to be
fixed.
