[Bug 1064617] Re: flashplugin update missing package download

2012-10-10 Thread Jonne
Still not working for me.

If I try to run the action again, it gets stuck on:

flashplugin-installer: downloading
http://archive.canonical.com/pool/partner/a/adobe-flashplugin/adobe-
flashplugin_11.2.202.243.orig.tar.gz

However, the file appears to exist on the server. So I'm not sure what's
going on here.

[Bug 497350] [NEW] geany does not handle unicode 'line seperator' character properly

2009-12-16 Thread Jonne
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: geany

In attachment I have an example file. I added the 'line seperator'
character (/x2028) with Bless to make this example, but this character
can end up in your files by copy/pasting from some word documents. The
first line has this character after 'printing', the second line is the
same line without the character.

It's hard to explain how this bug looks exactly, but it makes it hard to
edit files. Whatever comes after the character disappears, and shows up
only when you select text. If you open the file in gedit, you see how
it's supposed to look.

I'm using geany 0.18 on Karmic.

I have to add that the static only comes out of the speakers when ubuntu

static. Start playing something in rhythmbox or a flash movie, and
static starts. Pause rhythmbox or close flash movie and static stops a
few seconds after.

[Bug 322781] Re: banshee doesn't save new last.fm stations

2009-03-09 Thread Jonne
The thing that confuses me about Launchpad is that it's not clear what
we're tracking here. If we're talking in terms of the Banshee that ships
with Ubuntu, it's not fixed. If we're talking about Banshee upstream, it
seems like it is. It's probably frustrating for upstream too to see bug
reports still open while they did their job with fixing them.

So if I want to have this thing fixed for me personally I'll just have
to get it from cvs and try to compile? (I tried this before, but I seem
to have failed miserably, I'll probably need to get help on IRC for
this).

[Bug 322781] Re: banshee doesn't save new last.fm stations

2009-01-29 Thread Jonne
I removed ~/.config/banshee-1 (I don't have a ~/.config/banshee )
still the same thing (btw, removing the folder didn't seem to remove my prefs
and stuff, where are the banshee settings stored?)

it seems to be the same issue as the one in the gnome bugtracker, so i
guess people should just wait for when the new version shows up in
backports?

I'll try using the ppa in the meantime.

2009-01-29 Thread Jonne
i didn't notice the timestamps of the latest posts in the gnome
bugreport, apparently it was fixed only 2 days ago or so. I'll just wait
for the new version to appear in the ppa or through the backports and
listen to my recommendations in the meantime.

[Bug 132279] Re: Usability: 'Cannot mount volume' details are not selectable

2009-01-13 Thread Jonne
Problem still exists in Intrepid, just had it happen today (or user
couldn't figure out how to do it, I wasn't physically present). In any
case this problem still persists in Ubuntu Intrepid.

[Bug 250211] Re: Intrepid: WLAN LED blinks incessantly on iwl3945 | iwl4965 laptop

2008-12-13 Thread Jonne
I just wanted to add that the workaround listed (the one on drinsama.de)
doesn't work for me for some reason (even when i run the script manually
it does nothing). My wireless interface is called wlan0, and
/sys/class/leds/iwl-phy0:RX and /sys/class/leds/iwl-phy0:TX exist.

The LED on this laptop (HP Pavilion DV5000) is exceptionally bright, and
it lights up whatever room it's in when other lights are out.

I know this doesn't seem like an important issue to anyone that has a
laptop with a less in-your-face LED, but to users with this type of
laptop this is an important issue (the duct-tape workaround doesn't work
for me either, because the LED is right in the hinge, which makes it
impossible to duct-tape and also makes sure the LED blinks even when the
screen is closed).

[Bug 118584] Re: Consumes large amounts of memory

2008-12-09 Thread Jonne
I've had this happen too (it used 1,6 GB. which is probably all it could
grab) I think it started happening after I added some new entries in the
external-filters.xml (I wanted it to index some extra txt files). I've
now disabled this extra rule to see if this still happens without the
rule. I'm also watching beagle-status to see where this happens.

This is in intrepid, with Beagle: 0.3.8 and Mono 1.9.1.

[Bug 264999] Re: 'jump to line number' limited to 5 digits

2008-11-20 Thread Jonne
Ok, so apparently you're using another jump to file method. I'm talking
about the little box in the toolbar. Here's a screenshot.

Anyway, whether the limit is 6 or 5 digits, I hope we can both agree
that there should be no limit at all.

[Bug 264999] Re: 'jump to line number' limited to 5 digits

2008-11-17 Thread Jonne
This report was for 0.13, but I see the same problem in 0.14 (the one
that comes with Intrepid). Not sure why you're able to enter 6 chars in
the jump line field, but I can only enter 5 of them (which limits it to
max 9 lines). You can still scroll further down, it's just the text
field that seems to have this arbitrary limit.

[Bug 264612] Re: Gui hangs on startup

2008-11-08 Thread Jonne
I think the main issue is that LinuxDC++ doesn't handle it very well if
your share is on a network share (I'm using it with a 500GB smb share
and see the same GUI slowness). I think it would be nice to have
LinuxDC++ recognize network shares, since some of people like to move
their shares to a dedicated server while keeping their p2p apps running
on their personal computer/laptop.

It should also not rehash the shares every time after a network
interruption (like when you take your laptop to some other place where
your share isn't in the network).

I guess this is more of a feature request instead of a bug, but i can't
find the feature request place.

[Bug 250211] Re: Intrepid: WLAN LED blinks incessantly on iwl3945 | iwl4965 laptop

2008-10-12 Thread Jonne
I agree with others that the blinking is annoying, especially on the HP
dv5000 which has a really bright wifi led. Either turn it off completely
or turn it on, don't let it blink.

[Bug 195798] Re: Nautilus: Impossible to change case of filename/extension in Windows Share

2008-10-10 Thread Jonne
I just want to add that I too encounter this bug on CIFS shares, which
is mildly annoying. It seems like Konqueror encounters the same problem,
it gives you the option to overwrite, but that doesn't do anything (I'd
test other file managers, but I don't have them installed, but could
somebody test Thunar or other file managers?). The CIFS shares aren't
running on Windows (one is on OS X, another one is embedded Linux).

So I suspect this is a bug in CIFS or whatever's between CIFS and the
file managers (unless both file managers implemented the same bug).

[Bug 264999] [NEW] 'jump to line number' limited to 5 digits

2008-09-05 Thread Jonne
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: geany

The second input box where you can enter a line number to jump to is
limited to 5 digits, which means that it will not allow you to jump to a
line number higher than 9.

Steps to reproduce:
-open a file that has more than 9 lines
-try to jump to line number 10

What happens:
-you can't enter the last digit

What should happen:
-you can enter 10 or more, and you can jump to that line

** Affects: geany (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 239182] Re: segfualt in cairo_draw_with_xlib

apply changes, while restarting (even the whole os) doesn't fix
anything. Anyone else have that?

[Bug 103210] Re: ipw3945 Wifi connection is very slow

2008-04-29 Thread Jonne
It's a WRT54G v2.2.
From the openwrt wiki:
The WRT54G v2.2 is based on the Broadcom 4712 board. It has a 200 MHz CPU, 4 MB
flash and 16 MB DDR-SDRAM. The wireless NIC is integrated to the board. The
switch is a BCM5325. Resetting to factory defaults via reset button or mtd
erase nvram is safe on this unit.

So I guess that's a yes. I'm willing to try the Kamikaze firmware, but
the download page doesn't exactly make it clear which one I should get
or if it's even supported by my unit.

[Bug 103210] Re: ipw3945 Wifi connection is very slow

2008-04-26 Thread Jonne
I've had this issue since edgy, and I just used the 'sudo iwpriv eth1
set_mode 7' thing every time I moved away from my AP. Unfortunately this
doesn't work any more in Hardy. I still get limited at around 100KB/s
sometimes, but when i run the command i get 'Invalid command :
set_mode'.

I'm using the iwl3945 drivers now, so I'm not sure if this bug is
limited to ipw3945. My laptop is a HP pavilion dv5285ea.

I'll try upgrading the firmware on my openwrt router to see if that
fixes anything.
