[Bug 1579905] Re: cups-browsed causes shutdown hang/delay in Ubuntu 16.04

2016-07-13 Thread Joshua Gleitze
Will the fix (version 1.9.0 of cups-filters) be made available through
the main PPA for Xenial?

[Bug 1169258] Re: There is no ListItem implementing the expansion behaviour

2013-11-13 Thread Joshua Gleitze
Well, you have a point. Maybe it would be best to implement a default
behaviour, as you say. Making this behaviour overwritable to the
programmer would then increase (re-)usability, in my opinion.

[Bug 1047384] Re: System Encryption Password set before setting keyboard locale

2013-10-28 Thread Joshua Gleitze
Unfortunatly, this bug still exists in 13.10. If you think of the fact
that the normal user doesn’t even know how to change the keyphrase even
IF he somehow managed to log in one time, this is a bug of HIGH
importance.

For every normal user that hasn’t a US-QWERTY-Layout, his first
impression of Ubuntu will be a system he is logged out of. That’s a
shame I think. So for 14.04 LTS, this should be fixed.

[Bug 1169258] Re: There is no ListItem implementing the expansion behaviour

2013-10-14 Thread Joshua Gleitze
I disagree. I think the expansion item should only provide the
functionality of expansion. Any Flickables in or outside the expansion
block should be left to the programmer. It's not the job of the item to
make sure its content is visible. So in my opinion, we don't have to
worry about any scrolling logic.

[Bug 1130740] [NEW] bad application switching in workspace switcher

2013-02-20 Thread Joshua Gleitze
Public bug reported:

When I click on an application icon in the launcher while I am in the
workspace switcher view, it brings me back to the desktop that is
selected (not to the application I clicked on)

In 12.04, the application I clicked on came to the foreground on the
workspace it was on. This was very handy to organize the windows on the
workspaces. Even if this behaviour is not wished anymore, clicking on an
application icon should bring one to the application that was clicked
on.
