[Bug 523778] [NEW] pc doesnt completely switch off when having been put into standby and waked up again
Public bug reported: Hello, Ubuntu: 9.10 32 Bit When I put my computer into standby via the gnome button, it goes into standby as it should and it wakes up, when I push the Power Button. All works fine. But when I want to shutdown the computer, it does everything (umounting all drives shutting down daemons), but the computer does not switch off completely. I hear the hard drive switching off, but the fans and so on are still running. I will have to switch it off manually. When I dont put the computer into standby and wake it up again, everything is perfect. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: acpi shutdown standby -- pc doesnt completely switch off when having been put into standby and waked up again https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 270374] Re: [intrepid] enter a computer name then hit enter, list stays on screen and steals input
I have two monitors with the radeon (not fglrx) driver and it happens on either screen. Andrew, are you pressing Enter key to connect or clicking the mouse on the Connect button? [Bug 281851] Re: interpid installation does not install 2.6.27 kernel
In my case, root was formatted as XFS. I used a ext2 /boot partition (also used by 8.04) due to the root partition being past the maximum cylinders for boot Thanks -- interpid installation does not install 2.6.27 kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281851 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 281851] Re: interpid installation does not install 2.6.27 kernel
I have experienced a similar issue. Installed from 8.10 beta AMD64 desktop cd. I selected a fresh root fs, but selected an existing ext2 fs as /boot without format. (This partition used for /boot in 8.04) After install, grub was configured with 8.04 kernels (2.6.24-X) with 8.10 fs as root vmlinuz-2.6.27-4-generic was missing from /boot Files that were copied to /boot - initrd.img-2.6.27-4-generic abi-2.6.27-4-generic config-2.6.27-4-generic System.map-2.6.27-4-generic vmcoreinfo-2.6.27-4-generic -- interpid installation does not install 2.6.27 kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281851 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
