[Bug 1173566] Re: 19d2:2000 ZTE HSDPA Modem MF627 MF628 not recognized by network-manager in Ubuntu 13.04
meanwhile I upgraded to 13.10 to get a fix for touchscreen issue in xorg (just upgrade - no completely new install). [Bug 971018] Re: Auto-hide Unity Launcher will not reveal when mouse pushed to left side in VirtualBox or VMware
the same issue occurs with a touchscreen. The pressure to reveal the launcher equals a mouse movement over the screen-edge but this is impossible with a touchscreen or (vm window) of the some size as the screen. There should be an option to reveal the launcher by just hitting the edge - like the edge-gestures in compiz that work so far. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/971018 Title: Auto-hide Unity Launcher will not reveal when mouse pushed to left side in VirtualBox or VMware To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/971018/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1223739] Re: Launcher - unable to reveal Launcher under autohide after using the touch screen
I had this issues just after hiding the launcher, but after a restart it seems to work. BTW: Can anyone reveal the launcher with a touchscreen? @ thaytoo: Can confirm the touchscreen suddenly works again. [Bug 1173566] Re: ZTE HSDPA Modem MF627 MF628 not recognized by network-manager in Ubuntu 13.04
based on bug #979697 and some others I tried the following and finally it worked: 1. I added the modules (not sure if this is really necessary) usbserial option in /etc/modules 2.picked up the matching config file (e.g. 19d2:2000 - this is the device ID) from /usr/share/usb_modeswitch/configPack.tar.gz and added the line ReleaseDelay=3000. Then saved the file at /etc/usb_modeswitch.d 3. finally I created a file named usb-storage.conf in /etc/modprobe.d and copied in these lines: # Increase the default delay to avoid conflict with usb_modeswitch options usb-storage delay_use=3 4. [Bug 1177963] [NEW] Backlight switches of on Ubuntu 13.04 boot-screen - Dell XPS12
Public bug reported: Hello I have a Dell XPS12 and the problem that the backlight gets turned off on the Ubuntu 13.04 boot-screen. [Bug 1169376] Re: XPS13 backlight stopped working after update 3.8.0-18.28
I just tested 3.9.0-030900-generic on my XPS12 and the bug occurs again. I installed the 13.04 final and also still have the problem with the touch-end or whatever it is. Can you use the touchscreen again, after logout and than login in to unity? I read that the brightness-bug should be fixed with the 3.8.0-20.30 kernel; let's hope they also worked on this bug. [Bug 1173566] [NEW] ZTE HSDPA Modem MF627 MF628 not recognized by network-manager in Ubuntu 13.04
Public bug reported: Hello, I just had to notice that my ZTE HDPA USB Modem is no longer working in Ubuntu 13.04 - but in 12.04 it worked. lsusb lists the device as ID 19d2:2000 ZTE WCMA Technologies MSM MF627/MF628 HSDPA/HSUPA but the internal flash memory as well as the modem itself are not recognized by nautilus or the network-manager respectively. I have the XPS12 - backlight-control is working with 3.8.0-18 and -19 but the backlight is set to level 0 (disabled) on the login-window. [Bug 1159477] Re: xps 12 touchscreen issue
I read something interesting; there seems to be a program name touchreset which is part of the per-installed software from Dell. As known, there are or had been also some problems with the touchscreen with Windows - changing the priority or killing and restarting touchreset would often help to make the touchscreen responding again. [Bug 536993] [NEW] starting billard-gl locks computer
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba When Billard-GL is started it will lock the computer making it necessary to hold the on/off switch and then to reboot. This happens when any other program has been started since the last reboot before Billard is started. Unable to locate the release however everything is kept up to date with the latest safe releases and updates. I think that the version may be 9.10.11.
