[Bug 1874161] Re: kpcli is unable to open a kdbx file if the file is locked by both a password and a key file
@dotancohen - The question is not "what version *forward* are Keepass v2 files (*.kdbx) supported" but instead "at which version did support cease." The simple answer is that Keepass v2 files up to and through version 3.1 are supported. Version 4 and beyond are not supported and may never be. You can read a bit about the KeePass author's changes from 3.1 -> 4.0 here: https://keepass.info/help/kb/kdbx_4.html kpcli uses the perl module File::KeePass to operate on Keepass files. That module does not support Keepass v2 files (*.kdbx) beyond version 3.1 and largely because the File::KeePass hasn't chosen to make those updates. If and when File::KeePass gains that support, kpcli likely will by default. If not, I will update kpcli to make it so, but the support is first needed in File::KeePass. https://metacpan.org/pod/File::KeePass -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874161 Title: kpcli is unable to open a kdbx file if the file is locked by both a password and a key file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kpcli/+bug/1874161/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I am the author of kpci. KeePassX does not support Keepass v2 files (*.kdbx), only v1 files (*.kdb). I suspect that you created a v1 file named foo.kdbx, which kpcli will assume (wrongly) is a v2 file due to the kdbx file extension, and fail to open it. In response to the last comment... 1. Run this command: gsettings list-recursively org.gnome.shell > settings.txt and attach the resulting text file here. See attached 2. "top" frozen. 3. Follow these instructions to check for crashes: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses#Missing_a_crash_report_or_having_a_.crash_attachment /var/crash is empty /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id ... https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID reports that "No errors have been reported from this system" Applied work around for bug 994921 and got same results (no crash) ### Additional Information ### 1. In addition to becoming un-responsive, window also freeze ("top" stops reporting while hung, Graphic applications like performance monitor also hang/freeze). 2. The "Settings" app shows a preview, when launched, it shows the current desktop. When selecting a different background, sometimes the preview will update (but freezes before updating the desktop), and sometimes the preview will not update. 3. After reboot, timing the hang, it takes about 16 minutes to become responsive again. However, a second settings change took as little as 90 seconds. Not enough evaluation has been done to determine if other factors are contributing to the timings (during the 90 second timing, I had tcpdump running and I pinged the machine from another machine during the hang). 4. After reboot, running tcpdump during the hang, viewing with wireshark after responsiveness returns, I find that there is some normal looking network traffice, including connectivity checks outbound and normal responses received. ### ** Attachment added: "settings.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1885330/+attachment/5388157/+files/settings.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1885330 Title: System unresponsive to keyboard and mouse clicks when changing screen background To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1885330/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1769409] Re: Support for global menu
Yes, I discontinued the develop of that extension with base on the repercussion of the Gnome/Gtk developers to drop the support for Gtk- Modules in newly Gtk releases started in GTK-4.0 and upper. [Bug 1714804] Re: Aardvark Daily: Indicator-Multiload doesn't show full-width
Well, please see i just fixed the official gnome shell extension for the indicator-multiload. Source: https://gitlab.com/lestcape/gnome-shell-extension- appindicator/commit/c4cbe95502e53a3b9b89aa5ad9261e76b67987b7 Explanations: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1067766/upgrade-from-16-04-to-18-04 -indicator-multiload-doesnt-work/1068801#1068801 I think more work is needed to really support non homogeneous indicator in general. Please note that probably the main inconsistency is that the extension not return the indicator as the same type of actors, that is wrong in my opinion, because cause some inconsistencies, but is easy to fix that also. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1714804 Title: Aardvark Daily: Indicator-Multiload doesn't show full-width To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-multiload/+bug/1714804/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1307657] Re: [SRU] UBUNTU_MENUPROXY should not be set in Xfce
We have not a chance to make the global menu really configurable per sessions? If we don't have UBUNTU_MENUPROXY in our environment also could be problematic. For example, if i'm outside of unity and i want to use the unity-gtk-module in a third-party global menu implementation. I will need to set UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 for all root sessions, not matter if was launched with pkexec or gksudo or sudo, because root application have not access to the com.canonical.AppMenu.Registrar. Then the only solution will be to set UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 in etc/environment and then probably in /etc/profile i will need to set it to 1 again, but of course this will have some side effect in other sessions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307657 Title: [SRU] UBUNTU_MENUPROXY should not be set in Xfce To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-gtk-module/+bug/1307657/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

If i want to install lubuntu compleet on the systems installation it always fails I even check the both systems hdd but the smartfunctie shows is ok good condition hdd,no bad sectors. If the optical slimline drive is not correct, then the install setup is not show right? [Bug 926688] Re: upstart task alsa-restore has no effect
Just installed Mint xfce and having same problem with maintaining sound settings. Pulse audio wiki gives this. Pulseaudio usually overwrites the ALSA settings- for example set with alsamixer- at start up, even when the alsa daemon is loaded. Since there seems to be no other way to restrict this behaviour, a workaround is to restore the alsa settings again after pulseaudio had started. Add the following command to .xinitrc .bash_login or any other autostart file: restore_alsa() { while [ -z "`pidof pulseaudio`" ]; do sleep 0.5 done alsactl -f /var/lib/alsa/asound.state restore } restore_alsa & could not find either of these filed but appended to end of user .profile and it works. The new launching does the same. -- Firefox crash immediatly after launching https://launchpad.net/bugs/69890 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
