I finally got mic input back on 2.6.31-14 (I hadn't noticed I didn't have it on 2.6.31-13) by playing with alsamixer setting Mic Jack to Mic In and Digital Input Source to Digital Hopefully this will withstand a reboot. Sound input was fine on previous 2.6.31 kernels (11 ?). -- [Karmic]
