chromium is adding a huge number of "ALSA plugin [chromium-browser]"
entries in the Applications tab of the Sound Preferences app. So many
that the window overflows available screen space by a long margin. It
does this even with all plugins disabled. It seems to me that something
is failing in the way it connects to pulseaudio and it is retrying, but
at the same time leaving failed attempts active.
