[Bug 2063308] Re: lenovo p1g5 suspend issues with docking stations
Can we get the system config details please - CPU, GPU in particular. Also confirm if WWAN is enabled Which dock is being used? Can you confirm if AMT is enabled or not in the BIOS? We've seen issues with AMT enabled with the TBT dock, especially with networking. Will look to reproduce the issue with high power numbers after the ME FW update - agreed that looks like a FW issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2063308 Title: lenovo p1g5 suspend issues with docking stations To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2063308/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1951861] Re: Fix non-working e1000e device after resume

[Bug 1944435] Re: Backlight on P17 Gen 1 not working Nvidia 470
Thanks Aaron, Customer noted that this didn't help him - but I assume the above only helps in hybrid mode. Customer is quite grumpy...but David is on PTO and he has the system for reproducing so I'm just trying to manage expectations at the moment. Let me know if there are any other suggestions. [Bug 1938096] Re: [Lenovo X1 Carbon 9th] [SYNA8009:00 06CB:CE57] touchpad lagging after resume from suspend
Just to pick up on some of the above comments: - my understanding is this is a touchpad firmware bug so not much point reporting it to other distro's as well - it's not a Canonical/Ubuntu issue either IMO. - Using S0ix/modern suspend (or 'Windows and Linux') sleep mode setting in the BIOS is the fix. If you see other problems around S0ix they should be reported so we can fix those (you shouldn't see excessive battery drain). That's the supported/tested/certified sleep mode on these Tigerlake CPUs. We are working with Synaptics on a S3 fix - but it's been lower priority I'm afraid. I don't have an update or ETA yet. As a note - I have an internal Lenovo bug tracking this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/sutton/+bug/1938174 I did a bit of investigation just before I went on vacation and I believe this is a regression in the Ubuntu kernel - I'm not seeing the issue with a vanilla kernel.org kernel Mark -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1938697 Title: Kernel driver support issue between 5.4.0-74-generic and 5.4.0-80-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1938697/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1915063] Re: Windows 10 wil not install using qemu-system-x86_64
We believe that the latest version of Windows doesn't play nice with the older version of QEMU - it seems Windows is broken somewhere between 4.2.0-2 and 5.0.0-6 on AMD Ryzen based processors (which is what we have on the P620). [Bug 1896098] [NEW] Lenovo P1G3 - unable to select system speakers when headset plugged into audio jack
Public bug reported: I suspect this is a pulseaudio or alsa bug. Our test team reported this: 1. Prepare Padme-3 machine and Install Ubuntu_20.04 OS . 2. Boot system. 3. Play audio or video file. 4. Open Settings > Sound. 5. Hot attach headset. 6. Notice that headset is selected as output device in sound settings and sound can be heard from headset => EXPECTED 7. While playback, select Internal Speaker as output device => KEYPOINT 9. Notice:SUT havo no sound from Internal Speakers => PROBLEM I was able to confirm this - it seems with the headphones connected that I can't select the system speakers. If I don't have headphones connected I can switch between dock audio and system speakers correctly - so it's just related to the audio jack Thanks Mark ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1896098 Title: Lenovo P1G3 - unable to select system speakers when headset plugged into audio jack To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1896098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1861837] Re: machine doesn't come up after suspend and re-opening the lid
I don't know if it's the same issue - but recently on Debian an issue was found with the tpm driver that was preventing suspend and resume working on a number of systems: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=939170 They saw the issue on X1 4th Gen. [Bug 468519] Re: wpa_supplicant causes system to crash.
I have experienced what I believe is the same problem on a MacBook Pro 2,1 with Karmic. {{{ *-network description: Wireless interface product: AR5008 Wireless Network Adapter vendor: Atheros Communications Inc. physical id: 0 bus info: p...@:03:00.0 logical name: wlan0 version: 01 serial: 00:17:f2:eb:b5:1b width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: bus_master cap_list ethernet physical wireless configuration: broadcast=yes driver=ath9k ip=192.168.0.21 latency=0 multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11abgn resources: irq:17 memory:9810-9810 }}} After a fresh install of Karmic, I experienced fairly frequent random crashes which required hard resets. At first I thought the crashes might graphics driver related but was able to rule this out when the system crashed with no applications open at all. I then noticed the prevalence of syslog entries such as: {{{ Feb 25 21:18:13 truffles wpa_supplicant[1164]: CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-RESULTS Feb 25 21:20:13 truffles wpa_supplicant[1164]: CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-RESULTS }}} just before crashes occurred. This was *before* finding this bug report. After finding this bug report, I tried turning wireless networking off and using a network cable, and had a couple of days working without any network connection at all. In both cases I had no further crashes.
