Thanks for identifying the cause. I had to use wayland, and now I can go back to Xorg. For me it was impossible to find out why this was happening, because I was using DMZ-black, and upgraded from 22.04 much before if was stable. So I thought it will be resolved by the time of 24.04 launch. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Happens as well on Ubuntu 20.04, very annoying because it works fine if those domains are manually added to /run/systemd/resolve/stub- resolv.conf file so there's not real limit since glibc is not the issue anymore. Hello The updates also affect 20.04, the start window is still functional, buttons are missing in the program! I uploaded a new update today, "hibiscus-ppa" it also has problems with the windows and buttons. Hi Daniel, I have tried to look /var/crash but there is no newly-created crash file. I have looked on the webpage in step 2 but there is no relevant link there (i.e. the date when the crash happened). Public bug reported: This bug happened when I clicked and held the left mouse button on the desktop and moved it to make a rectangular selection window. Next, I moved the window to highlight 4 desktop shortcuts on my desktop (Middle- earth Shadow of Mordor.desktop, steam.desktop, Trash, and the icelancet or Home folder). Next, while still holding the left mouse button down, I pressed and released the right mouse button. Now a window pops up with more options, however, the window is not removable using a normal method like clicking somewhere else on the desktop or even choosing an option in the window which does nothing. Also, it introduces more bugs like: 1. clicking the icelancet/Home shortcut on the desktop does not open the Home folder, or 2. while clicking the Home folder shortcut on the sidebar does open the Home folder, this window is not moveable by the usual method of pressing down the left mouse button on the title bar of the window and moving the mouse. As such, when this bug occurs, a hard reboot is necessary to restore the stability of the system. I have reproduced the bug after a reboot and doing the same procedure - the same thing happens. This is on the latest version of Ubuntu (Release 20.04) with all the latest upstream updates installed. Hallo Eine Lösung: Pakete: gir1.2-gtk-2.0 gnome-tweak-tool Themes POP Nacheinander ausführen sudo add-apt-repository ppa:system76/pop sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install pop-theme Im Programm "Optimierungen -> Erscheinungsbild -> Anwendungen" Theme Pop wählen. Dann gibt es keine Probleme in 21.04. Schaltfläche "Plugin installieren..." vorhanden. Mit den Themes von Ubuntu läuft es nicht! Verbesserungsvorschlag! In "Optimierungen" sollte möglich sein ein Programm ein bestimtes Theme zuzuweisen! Optimierungen sollte in die Standardinstallaton. I cannot delete efivars either on Samsung New Series 9. I tried with chattr and rm with no success. Than I tried to delete entries from dbx in EFI setup, and it does not work, too. Hallo Ich habe jetzt die Dartstellung getestet. Die Schaltflächen werden im Modus "Dunkel" richtig angezeigt. Im Modus "Standard" und "Hell" werden die Schaltflächen nicht richtig dargestellt, es fehlt die grüne Schaltfläche und die weisse Schrift. Das sollte bei der Problemlösung helfen. This problem appears only on Ubuntu 20.04 with Wine 5.0 installed from
Ubuntu repository. If I build Wine 5.0 myself or install Wine 4.0.4 from
WineHQ repository, then there is no problem, so I assume the problem is
in Ubuntu 20.04 build of Wine.
I have written a shared library for our application using Winelib project,
which calls native Linux API. C++ is used. Crash happens on first C++ exception
thrown.

I would also like to put in a request that this be added it might seem uncommon in the English speaking world, but in many many countries, writing emails in multiple languages happens regularly, and in those countries, the thunderbird single-language spellcheck simply isn't adequate. [Bug 1800101] Re: gnome-shell uses 100% CPU
I had high CPU and unresponsive gnome desktop on older Ubuntu virtual machine that was upgraded to 18.04 LTS from earlier past LTS versions on VirtualBox 5.2.18 or earlier running on Windows 10. The high gnome-shell CPU and unresponsiveness was randomly triggeded eg. by resizing application windows. I was able to switch to text virtual terminal using Ctrl-Alt-Fn and the gnome-shell CPU load decreased while in text mode. It has not occurred since I changed using gnome-tweaks the application appearance to Adwaita. I recently installed a new 18.04 LTS that also became unresponsive at similar application or VirtualBox window resize. I am not 100% sure if this is same problem as I have VirtualBox 5.2.22 now and I was unable to change to text virtual terminal after VirtualBox window resize. This hang happened at least on VirtualBox windows resize. The virtual machine was able to shutdown through ACPI. I changed to Adwaita from Ambience and now I have been able to change window sizes without hang. Due to randomness, hard to say this problem is completely gone by theme change. gnome-tweaks shows no extensions enabled. Now at gnome-shell 3.28.2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1. VirtualBox has 3D acceleration enabled, no 2D acceleration. I got a workaround by removing /lib/udev/rules.d/97-hid2hci.rules as was mentioned in a comment at https://askubuntu.com/questions/1028883/ubuntu-18-04-systemd-udevd-uses- high-cpu-conflict-with-wifi It seems to be some rule for Bluetooth and touchpads.
