[Bug 1295267] Re: Windows change Monitor/Desktop after screen lock
I also have this issue with windows moving after unlock, on 16.04 with one screen connected via DisplayPort and another via HDMI. When I switch to both screens via HDMI (one via a thunderbolt/USB-C-to-HDMI adapter) the problem seems to go away. This is on a Dell Precision 5510, with the nouveau and intel (i915_bpo) drivers for the nvidia and intel graphics respectively. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1295267 Title: Windows change Monitor/Desktop after screen lock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1295267/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1523698] Re: indicator-session is leaking memory on ubuntu 15.10
I also have an issue with unity-settings-daemon leaking memory. Usually after leaving the machine overnight I come in to a unity- settings-daemon crash, with no crash report due to lack of free memory. In the last few hours it's gone from 170M to 316M and still gradually climbing. [Bug 1580114] Re: [i915_bpo] Update i915 backport driver
Nice one, thanks. Is this released yet? I'll give it a try when it is and report back. Hopefully it should fix my issues here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1568865 which went away with a 4.6.0-rc7 kernel. [Bug 1560395] Re: [i915_bpo] Update i915 backport driver
Any further backports would be gratefully received -- it looks like there's been a fair number of i915 and skylake-related commits recently. In particular I've had a bunch of display issues with external screens with 16.04 on a Dell Precision 5510 (Skylake chipset), which are fixed after installing the latest 4.6-rc7 kernel, but not with 4.6-rc4. They seem to be due to intel DRM issues, linked to this error: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1568865?comments=all [drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915_bpo]] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun Details in comments on the ticket, but I'm not the only one, and issues include: - Laptop screen goes black when mouse moves into it, after hotplugging HDMI - Blank screen on boot and/or resume with external screen plugged in -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1560395 Title: [i915_bpo] Update i915 backport driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1560395/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1568865] Re: [drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915_bpo]] *ERROR* CPU pipe B FIFO underrun
I've now tried this with 4.6.0-rc7. * I no longer see the "CPU pipe B FIFO underrun" errors in syslog, although I do still see the stack traces like in #12 on hotplugging displays. * The "laptop screen goes black when mouse moves into it" issue is gone!
