problem http://thecodecentral.com/2011/01/18...ot-working-bug but I
changed but changed DRIVERS="ehci xhci" to DRIVERS="ehci ohci" as
mentioned by a comment from someone with a 1201N.

[Bug 1024156] [NEW] Incorrect Scrolling on Resources Tab

2012-07-12 Thread Paul Stewart
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the Remote Desktop Client gui
2. Click on the 'Resources' tab
3. Select the first option in the 'Keyboard Type' list so it hightlights.
4. Using your arrow key, push the down arrow.

Expected behavior = Highlighted line moves down to the bottom of the box, then
the next language option appears as you click the down arrow (so you can always
see the highlighted option)

Actual behavior = The language list doesn't move and the highlighted
option scrolls off down off the screen so you can't see it. You have to
use your mouse to grab the scroll bar and scroll down until you can find
it again.

Public bug reported:

1. Open the Ubuntu Software Center

[Bug 883254] Re: The Ubuntu software center has many odd problems.

2011-10-28 Thread Paul Stewart
Hi Zman,

Thank you for your bug report.
Unfortunately you have mention multiple problems in the one report. Each
problem you mention needs to be written out as a separate bug report for the
developers to pursue.

Having said that, I suggest you first search through the bugs that have been
listed against the software-center application (you can do that by going to the
top of this page and clicking the 'bugs' link). For example, a similar bug
#554180 is listed and the problem of software being listed twice has been
reported previously.
If you find the same bug already listed then click on the link 'This bug
affects you and 1 other person', rather than filing a duplicate bug report.

Thanks
Paul

Aaron,

I had the same issuesee if this helps.

Go to your System settings-sound.
See if the correct sound card is selected. Mine had changed cards (to one I
didn't even know I had). Then I changed it to the analog, or another card that
was listed, ran the sound test, and it worked.
Give that a try.

[Bug 862912] Re: Error turning on the computer

2011-09-29 Thread Paul Stewart
When the system starts to boot up see if you can get into a terminal by
typing ALT_CTRL_T and type the following command (you have to be
connected to the internet)

sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get -y upgrade;

This should install any updates that you don't have. Then reboot and see
if that fixes it.

[Bug 862537] [NEW] Resolution incorrect on resize

2011-09-29 Thread Paul Stewart
Public bug reported:

1. Open the remote desktop viewer and connect to a remote system.
2. Make the window full-screen by clicking on the fullscreen mode button
3. Click the fullscreen button again to allow resizing of the window
4. Resize the remote desktop window to about 2/3 of the available screen space.
5. Click the size-to-fit button to make the remote desktop resize.
6. Then click on the full-screen button again

Expected result = screen resizes and the screen resolution is correct and clear
Actual result = the resolution seem to stay the same as when the window was
smaller and just magnified, so the image is fuzzy.

To remedy it I have to click the full-screen button back to the 2/3
size, then click on the 'fit to screen' button and then again click the
full-screen button.

[Bug 859367] [NEW] Spelling and Grammar Errors in Control File Description

2011-09-25 Thread Paul Stewart
Public bug reported:

Open the software-center and search for gpredict.
Click on the 'More Info' button. In the description there are some spelling and
grammar errors in the description.

* The words "...only limited..." should be "...limited only..." (my opinion).
* The word "and" should be "or" in the second bullet point list.
* The word "time" is missing after the word "same" in the third bullet point
list.
* The word "either" is not needed in the 4th bullet point list (my opinion).
* The word "appriximate" should be "approximate".
* There is a missing word (I believe it is "open") and period at the end of the
fifth bullet point list sentence.

[Bug 858350] Re: will not close properly

2011-09-25 Thread Paul Stewart
Eddie,

How did you close the Tomboy? If you just close it by closing the window
I believe it continues to run in the background (usually there is an
icon in the toolbar up by the sound icon). If you click on that icon and
select 'Quit' then it closes completely.

Is this different to what you mean? If you use the quit does it still do the
same? I cannot reproduce it if I use the quit.
Thanks

[Bug 858631] [NEW] Spelling Error in Control File Description

2011-09-24 Thread Paul Stewart
Public bug reported:

Open the software-center and search sauerbraten
Click on the 'More Info' button

There needs to be some commas in the first sentence. For example, "Sauerbraten
is a networked, fast-paced, 3D, first-person shooter game."
Also, in my opinion, the word 'rather' is not needed in the second sentence.
In the second sentence the letter 'a' should not be before the word 'some'.

[Bug 858553] [NEW] Spelling Error in Control File Description

2011-09-24 Thread Paul Stewart
Public bug reported:

Open the software-center and search for 'ri-li'
Click on the 'More-Info' button.

In the description there are some spelling and grammar errors.
 - 'musics' should be changed to 'music tunes'
 - on the first list sentence, the words 'Slovak,Spanish...' should have a
space after the comma. This may be caused by the formatting in the control file.
 - The should be a period at the end of the 3rd button point list sentence.

[Bug 857780] [NEW] Grammar and Formatting Error in Control File

2011-09-23 Thread Paul Stewart
Public bug reported:

Open the Ubuntu-Software-Center and search for 'xatitv'
Click the 'More Info' button.

There are some formatting and grammar errors in the description.
After the bullet point word 'yuvsum:' the word 'video' should be capitalized to
be consistent with the other words.
The formatting of the list brings the lines together. This means they are
missing periods between sentences.

I have attached a patch with my suggested changes. These are my opinion only of
course.
Thanks
Paul

[Bug 857722] [NEW] Zoho web services Links are broken

2011-09-23 Thread Paul Stewart
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 857724 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/857724

Public bug reported:

you can still try to install Zoho web office writer, spreadsheet and
presentation access in ubuntu form the Software Center and it will show
as if installed on the Applications, Office submenu. HOWEVER the links
are broken. The wrong URL is used for writer and presentation software
and the calc link shows a spreadsheet in read only format that cannot be
used. I think that a forced login is now required to access the zoho
products but ubuntu doesn't know this. It doesn't matter what version of
ubuntu, 10.04 or 11.04 is used.

Also the same for 11.10
