Reading the wiki page on stable release updates[1] I see no option to get this
in artful. As described in section 3, the version fixing the bug has to be
tested in dev before - the problem now is that dev has 1.7.2-2 while artful has
1.6-1 thus it's not possible to test a version in dev that
provide a version if you get a

I can not reproduce your problem. srw is already in the default list

it's fixed in version 0.40.0-1 so you need to take the version from

I'd prefere to close this bug as it's fixed in Ubuntu now.
It was a gstreamermm bug which was fixed in 0.10.9.1. Ubuntu now has 0.10.11.
