After that util-linux script sets it again to wrong time from the hwclock. Console clutter also occurs with anacron. A "...done" is echoed when anacron daily finishes. This stuffs up lynx screen while browsing. Can confirm this bug when upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10. Installing latest debconf fixed it. It seems to me that most of the depends for dbus are not really depends. The exceptions being libc6 and libdbus-1-3. If consolekit needs a certain version of dbus, this would be done on the depends line in consolekit.
