I can confirm that the fix works. Well done.

I have done these tests. a lot of fiddling with the files was necessary
because they all have to be owned by root to work.
The "old" ppd file produces draft, normal and high printouts as you would
expect.
The new PPD file produces draft and high output but normal just ejects a
blank sheet. This
install of 17.10 and prints correctly!
I enclose the PPD file for this. I will do the other tests you sugest
later.

I have had this problem but have found a work around. BBC Radio Player
produced garbled sound in Hardy Beta, Release Candidate and in the final
release version. I installed Firefox 2 and uninstalled and reinstalled
the gstreamer plugins and the BBC radioplayer works perfectly in Firefox
2. Firefox
I have had this problem with Hardy Beta and now with the Release
candidate. I have just done the second clean re-install of Hardy and the
problem persists. All other sound is OK - only BBC Radio Realplayer
causes a problem. Is there something wrong with the codec? It all worked
perfectly in Gutsy.
