On a 16.04 LTS I managed to render Synology videos on the Google Chromecast.
You must use a VLC 3 to render the videos to Chromecast but unfortunately you

I have just tried this patch (to resize2fs.c. There is another patch for

My laptop is a Asus N61J series. I have upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04 to
11.10 and this problem appeared.
It hands when shutting down or rebooting. Usually, one or zero of the
circles get filled on the splash screen and it just hangs there.
Sometimes it's actually does shutdown successfully, but
I forgot to mention, I am running a 64 bit version of Ubuntu.
Also the shutdown command in the terminal is not helping much, same
behavior tends to happen.

with the changes made to the GTK menu bar widget for the Ayatana project
(they made it possible to drag a GTK app by dragging on the menu bar)

Thanks for your suggestions Martin. I tried following them, but without
success. It turned out that the compiz package was indeed not
installed, but after installing it and restarting there was no change in
behaviour. I also tried removing the ~/.gonf/desktop/gnome/session/
directory and
I'm having the same issue in a Debian sid box while uploading to Debian
ftp-master. Apparently, after strace and -d, the server closes the connection
and dput is unable to reinstantiate it so it continues sending the remaining
files.
A more detailed debug should be done under this conditions.

when both are highlighted they disappear. 2 of the tiles have black
markings on them and 2 have yellow/goldish marks.

I am having the same issue on a clean install of 9.04. It occured after
updating my packages. During the update I had a kernel panic and on
rebooting my mouse refused to work. I then tried to reinstall my kernel
through aptitude and that was when I got to know the /dev/pts and
/dev/shm were not
Two different computers behind one adsl, one running XP-pro and SuSE 9.3
other SuSE 10.0, now 11.1. Browsers: XP: IE, Linux-KDE: Firefox, Opera,
Konqueror (all in different versions) and Lynx. Neither works. Stop
firewall in adsl modem does not help. Neither stop Linux firewall. Not
tried both.
I've attached the log, will need some help on how to follow your suggestion
though as I'm relatively new at Ubuntu.
