I have followed the problem with HP LaserJet for several months now. I think
it is typical for a great many problems in Ubuntu.

I thought for a while the problem was solved since my
printer functioned but after reformatting HD and reinstalling 7.04 from scratch
today April 14, the problem clearly remains. I believe
