someone manage to fix X-server and its drivers Are you sure it's only a X-server/driver issue? Even on WinXP FF3 is way slower than FF2, though, it's not nearly as bad as it is under Linux... I don't have any desktop effects in place. I'm getting the feeling that Mozilla just ignores this bug.
