[Bug 1883390] Re: Clicking on an app icon doesn't work if it's opened in another workspace

2020-07-11 Thread Tiger
I've some news about this bug.

I've another PC with Ubuntu 16.04 installed. The updates had not been made
since some time.
I checked that the bug was not existing at that moment.

Then I did the system upgrade with sudo apt-get update, upgrade and
dist-upgrade, autoremove.

And the bug did not occurred...

I know that if the developers are not able to reproduce, they'll not be
able to fix that bug for my laptop.

I'm going to try to find the differences between the two laptops to give
you information, but I know that maybe I'll never find it.

The most annoying is the fact that the handle of title bars of some
windows are behind the Ubuntu top bar, but I can manage it with alt +
mouse right click to move windows.

Maybe some Ubuntu devs will have the bug.

2020-07-07 Thread Tiger
About compiz which is listed in apport-collect information.
This is something I found while trying to find information about the bug.
Someone was speaking about it, I installed it with:

sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

But I never used it.

[Bug 1883390] [NEW] Clicking on an app icon doesn't work if it's opened in another workspace

2020-06-13 Thread Tiger
Public bug reported:

My Ubuntu version is a 16.04 LTS.

sudo apt-get update upgrade dist-upgrade autoremove

Steps to reproduce the bug

1- open an app, for example the terminal in workspace 1

2- go to workspace 2 and click in the left bar on the terminal icon

Results: the process is not switching to workspace 1 where the terminal
is already opened.

It was working perfectly before and I made no changes to my system
except the updates.

I discover this issue with another one.

Some applications, it's the case for terminal, when being opened are
placed too high and their handle title bar are behind Ubuntu top bar.

[Bug 1801164] [NEW] libtorrent sends port=0 via IPv6 announce instead of the correct port

2018-11-01 Thread Tiger!P
Public bug reported:

This bug has also been reported to debian [1].

1) lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 18.10
Release:18.10

2) dpkg -l | grep libtorrent
ii libtorrent-rasterbar9 1.1.9-1
amd64C++ bittorrent library by Rasterbar Software
ii python-libtorrent 1.1.9-1
amd64Python bindings for libtorrent-rasterbar

* What led up to the situation?

My system has both IPv4 and IPv6 connections and I used deluged with
libtorrent to get the debian-9.5.0-amd64-netinst.iso .

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?

When I did an update tracker, I saw that 2 announce messages are sent.
One to the tracker's IPv4 address and one to the tracker's IPv6 address, but
the last one sent port=0 instead of the correct portnumber.
The order might change (first IPv6 and then IPv4).

* What was the outcome of this action?

I did a tcpdump of the connection to the debian tracker and saw the
following data:

To 130.239.18.159 on port 6969:
..`.NGD.GET
/announce?info_hash=%3b%1d%85%f8x%0e%f8%c4%d8S%8f%80%9azc%fcR%991%8e_id=-DE13F0-a7HtrDr99EyW=28741=0=0=0=0=EBA0497F=started=200=1_peer_id=1=1=0
 HTTP/1.1
Host: bttracker.debian.org:6969
User-Agent: Deluge 1.3.15
Accept-Encoding: gzip
Connection: close

and to 2001:6b0:e:2018::159 on port 6969:
..5ENGD.GET
/announce?info_hash=%3b%1d%85%f8x%0e%f8%c4%d8S%8f%80%9azc%fcR%991%8e_id=-DE13F0-a7HtrDr99EyW=0=0=0=0=0=EBA0497F=started=200=1_peer_id=1=1=0
 HTTP/1.1
Host: bttracker.debian.org:6969
User-Agent: Deluge 1.3.15
Accept-Encoding: gzip
Connection: close

Here you can see the port=0 part of the announce message, which will
make the tracker think the client is listening on port 0, but it is not.

* What outcome did you expect instead?
I would expect that both the IPv4 and IPv6 announce messages would send the
correct port

* Additional information
This issue has also been reported to upstream as #3306 [2] and has been fixed
with PR #3385 [3]. And it will be available in the next 1.1.X release.
I've added the patch that can be applied to fix the issue.

[Bug 1287663] Re: unlock from lancher not working

2014-09-08 Thread Tiger
Same here. cannot delete icon with Unlock from Launcher option. I'm running
Ubuntu 14.04 64Bit. I recently deactivated zeitgeist as it was explained in
this post
http://askubuntu.com/questions/339212/zeitgeist-fts-always-using-a-lot-of-memory
Another user suspects residual/old settings in /home causing this incident.
I've done a clean install, yet just mounted my old /home partition used in
12.04. However the remove option Unlock from Launcher did work in first place.

Even when it has the same event ID, I think that claws should display the

The calendar might display the information.

The problem that I have is that it is a recurring event which has some
updates for single occurences. And now I can only see the last update.

[Bug 779757] [NEW] claws-mail-vcalendar-plugin displays previous viewed event

2011-05-09 Thread Tiger!P
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: claws-mail

I have received 2 e-mails from a person with an event request. Claws only
displays the information about the last event I received. I connect to an
exchange server using imap.
The requests are sent with outlook 2010 client and are in the vcalender format.

I would expect that the mouse buttons would change when the Left
handed is chosen.

Maybe http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267388 could also contain
some useful information.

 Bug description:
 Binary package hint: evolution

Mac OS X's Mail.app has an indispensable feature that should be
standard in all mail clients: it allows display of images on a
message-by-message basis. when the user has turned off display of
images in Mail.app's preferences, each message shows a blue banner
across the top - both in the preview pane and when fully opened -
with a button at the right end that says, Load images. the user
clicks that button, and the images in that message alone are loaded.
it's not persistent - the images in the next message viewed do not
load until that button is clicked, and so on.

i guess the function of the blue banner is to direct your eye and
your cursor right to the Load images button; it certainly serves
 that purpose.

seriously: once you've experienced this Load images button you do
*not* want to live without it. can we get it in evolution please?

 i'm running Evolution 2.22.3.1 under Ubuntu 8.0.4.

 thank you!

[Bug 139736] Re: dmraid installer complains: Package libdevmapper1.02 is not installed.

2008-05-25 Thread Tiger!P
I noticed that dmraid creates the /dev/mapper/via_bfdbdagceh.dm-tmp file and
renames it, but later it deletes it again. I don't know why.
If there is anything I can test, please let me know.

[Bug 205348] Re: gcc-3.4-doc uphgrade failed due to missing usr/share/info/gcc-3.4.info.gz

2008-03-23 Thread Tiger!P
A work-a-round to get the package installation to complete, is to copy other
gcc info files to the file that is missing.
This can be done by doing the following steps:
[code]
cp /usr/share/info/gcc-4.1.info.gz /usr/share/info/gcc-3.4.info.gz
cp /usr/share/info/gccint-4.1.info.gz /usr/share/info/gccint-3.4.info.gz
dpkg --configure -a
[/code]

[Bug 192992] Re: [hardy] pycentral crashed with ValueError in parse_versions()

2008-02-19 Thread Tiger Zhang
I think there is a bug in the preinst script which caused the python-apt
ValueError: error parsing Python-Version.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp# diff preinst 5/preinst
8c8
 python-version = python:Versions=2.4
---
 python-version = 2.4

After I changed this line to python-version = 2.4. It works!
And you can download the deb package here:

[Bug 105858] Re: WPA not available from Network Manager, but works from cmdline wpa_supplicant

2007-05-02 Thread Golden Tiger
My network card blinking its' head off is a bit strange... but at least
the instructions in this bug report allow my wireless card to connect to
my WPA network. Isn't the network manager supposed to use
wpa_supplicant if necessary to achieve a connection?

Here, I'm using Wifi Radar to kinda work through the management of my
wireless card, but it isn't an optimal solution. I'm not certain who to
blame here though, the wireless card drivers or the network manager
giving up,
