Thanks for reporting. I just upgraded to raring to check this out. [Bug 986208] Re: Compiz does not remember user preferences upon system restart
Here's a backtrace from when the options get reset, but I can't quite make sense of it. It looks like compiz gets notified that the gsettings key 'org.compiz.core close-window-key' (which I can't find in dconf- editor!) got changed. As a response to that it sets 'org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings close' to the new value (which happens to be the default value), thereby overwriting the user-set value. Which I think would be a terrible idea even if the user had intentionally changed close-window-key. ** Attachment added: backtrace https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/986208/+attachment/3432896/+files/compiz.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986208 Title: Compiz does not remember user preferences upon system restart To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/986208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1069177] [NEW] Bogus insensitive events after clicking on different date
Public bug reported: The events indicator-datetime shows below the calendar depends on the selected date. When a new date is selected that has fewer associated events than the current date, some of the old events remain in the list, but are shown as insensitive rather than deleted. If for example the current date has events 'A B C D E', and the user clicks on a date with associated events 'X Y Z', then indicator-datetime will show the events 'X Y Z D E' with the last two events grayed out. [Bug 1001429] Re: scroll doesn't work with my touchscreen
The original plan was to release 0.6.0 with touch support (including a fix for this issue) shortly after 0.5.6. But it turns out that touch support in the X server isn't as mature as one would hope, and I'm currently working on identifying what the issues are. So it'll probably be a while before I can enable touch support (it will most likely have to wait until the next X server release). If you're feeling adventurous, you can check out the current state of affairs on the 'next' branch in git. Now the purpuse of the switch to raw events for 'scroll' was so that relative devices wouldn't hit the screen edge. There is obviously no way of avoiding that for touch screens, so going back to regular grabs for absolute devices will fix the issue for now. I've applied a patch to the easystroke-0.5 branch, and this will be part of the next point release. ** Changed in: easystroke (Ubuntu) Status: New = Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001429 Title: scroll doesn't work with my touchscreen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/easystroke/+bug/1001429/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 788980] Re: Easystroke doesn't detect movement from any device
Thanks for the debugging output. Everything seems to be working as intended in those examples (although I admittedly did a horrible job of documenting how things are supposed to work). Instant Gestures trigger the moment the button is pressed. This is primarily for mice that have lots of buttons and allows to either bind an action to the button or several actions to the combination of the trigger button and any other button. I use it to enable scrolling using the side switch on the wacom pen. Click-and-hold gestures trigger when the user clicks and then holds the button for a certain duration without moving the mouse. This is the only possible gesture in this case. The warning message in this case is bogus. The normal behavior is to have the radio buttons set to Timeout -- I have no clue why I chose such a misleading term for this though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/788980 Title: Easystroke doesn't detect movement from any device -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 695570] Re: Move Window doesn't raise window
This is not correct. There is an option 'auto-raise' in the settings, but it only works if 'click to focus' and 'raise on click' are both disabled (this conceivably might be a bug, not that I think 'auto-raise' is particularly useful). This is not how it should be either. 'Raise on click' off means that the user should have full control of the stacking order --- you raise a window by clicking on its title bar. Thanks for uploading the package. fprint is just as dead upstream as thinkfinger, and in addition does not allow the user to chose between fingerprint and password authentication, so it's not a viable alternative at this point.
