[Bug 786774] Re: Regression: Compiz Enhanced Zoom plugin jerky, slow and unresponsive
it turns out, the choppy behavior is due to the mouse polling plugin, use Compiz Settings Manager to set the mouse polling plugin to a smaller time (10). [Bug 658191] [NEW] ubuntu 10.10 choosing open with changes default action on double click
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus To reproduce: I was in nautilus looking at my music files on my NAS i right clicked a folder full of music and said open with Movie Player. Great all the music was added into movie player and started to play. However now when ever i click on any folders they get opened in movie player not nautilus. [Bug 577427] [NEW] Regression: Unable to turn negative on at all using compiz 10.04
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz The latest round of updates has completely stopped me from turning the negative effect of compiz on. This seems linked to the exclude field in the compiz config setting manager under the negative plug-in. If i remote the Type=Desktop then it works again but does invert the background. Historically the background has not been inverted but the rest of the menus and windows have. As it stands when trying to invert anything with the default setting does nothing. Interestingly if you hover over a shortcut but the system menu eg firefox and then invert you can see the tooltip change to inverted. I have played around with setting and have found that setting type=Desktop again in the compiz manager then makes it behave as expected inverting everything but the background. Again this is an annoying but as i used negative all the time I can live with the background being inverted but it does make ubuntu look very cold and uninviting. [Bug 577427] Re: Regression: Unable to turn negative on at all using compiz 10.04
Temporary Fix add this line to your excludes setting under the compiz manager: (type=Desktop) | type=Desktop Now you can get inverted windows straight after but and you do not have to logout and login again. As a side note when you try to add setting to the excludes box you can capture the windows name for example but when you click okay the setting does not translate back to the main negative settings window. You get type= instread of type=Desktop. Desktop is being lost somewhere and not copied across. -- Regression: Unable to turn negative on at all using compiz 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577427 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 574592] [NEW] Regression: Unable to invert desktop on system load using (Super+M) if you have not changed focus to the desktop by clicking with the mouse
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz After Desktop loads you can not put the system into inverted colour mode using compiz you have to change the focus to the desktop by clicking the mouse. This has historically worked and have recently broken in Lucid. Reproduce by pressing the invert key combination (see [Bug 574579]) after you have login in without using the mouse and you will be unable to turn the negative plugin on. This is usually seen when a system menu has focus and I guess this is the problem that a menu has been left with focus after load but i am not sure which one. Maybe the new mail menu again. Clicking on the desktop with the mouse then allows you to use Super+M or whatever you config to turn on the negative plugin. That works but for me it is not the expect behaviour for adding a bookmark. This does not conform to the original behaviour of the bookmark feature and also not with other operating systems and the way they work. [Bug 563688] [NEW] unable to copy exchage based contact direct to ubuntu one, other error and locked dialougs

[Bug 550124] [NEW] Overlay causing excessive cpu usage on Xorg process using ATI cards
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Hi I have an ATI Radeon 2600 HD. I am finding when ever I am using overlay with the ATI card that I can getting drastic system slowdowns. This can be seen using top on my system. A good example of this slowdown can be seen using gtk-recordmydesktop. The preview panel that appears in that app will slow the system down and xorg gets over active at that point and then you will not realy be able to make a recording as the cpu is maxed out. [Bug 550141] [NEW] screen flickers/shimmers for half a second from side to side ATI Radeon 2600 HD
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg This can be reproduced using compiz. Please enable the water effect and put in onto a rain delay of 500 (shift+F9). In about 10 seconds you should see the screen dancing around and flickering. Hard to describe. Can't make screen cast as I also have an xorg slowdown issue. Compiz is just a method to get this bug to show up again and again. This is also happening when I am using notifications launching wine and other general use of the desktop. Also I am hearing a clicking sound from the screen and sometimes getting the message that the screen source disappeared and just reconnected also the screen is going blank sometimes. The Guys at Ubuntu have added the terminal the the list of apps that are not inverted, so I consider this as fixed. This was not a compiz bug wrongly assigned really but I was not sure where to assign it. ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Fix Committed ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed = Fix Released -- Termial and Gnome Panel need to be excluded on the compiz negative plugin to allow for invert on default theme https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542547 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
